    "The search for physical evidence underway Tuesday in Newport is related to the investigation into multiple cold cases popularly linked to the so-called Connecticut River Valley serial killer, News 9 Investigates has learned.
    Investigators began executing court-authorized search warrants on Tuesday morning in the Kelleyville neighborhood of Newport, including at a home on Ayers Street. There were more than a dozen cars parked along the dead-end street, and dozens of trash bags were seen piled up outside what appeared to be a barn. It’s not known whether the trash bags are related to the search." - wmur.com

    • @ar4203
      @ar4203 4 месяца назад +3

      Ehh i doubt that- this killer was active in the 70s-80s, which would put the killer at a far older age by the time of maura murray than most serial killers are usually active.
      Also- as someone whose lived in NH my whole life I can assure you that people dont realize how vast the forests wilderness in NH is & how easy it is to be lost/not found even with multiple searches & dogs. its an extreme dense mountainess wildrness in the area she went missing- I highly highly suspect that maura murrey did not die by foul play. I suspect that she committed suicide & if not that than accidentally succumbed to the elements after fleeing the accident scene. Is foul play possible? Yeah sure obviously, but the facts of the case show that she was not in an okay mental space/ having mental health issues at the time(telling her school a family memeber died, giving away a bunch of stuff, clearly drinking to cope, crashing a car multiple times in a week, etc), it seems like she was going up there to committ suicide or atleast "consider" it or just consider what she wanted to do with her life right now, if she wasnt dead set on suicide when she went up there than crashing her dads car could have sent her over the edge.
      Its also possible or likely she just accidentally succumbed to the elements after fleeing the accident scene. Suicide is a real possibility though & it would increase the liklihood of her not being found if she didnt want to be, it would be very easy to find a spot that is hidden off before she did it.
      Honestly i think its even possible she didnt even neccessarily die that night but the next day or so which increase the actual search area of where she could be & make it almost impossible to find her.
      Foul play is still possible, but i think occams razor suggests either accidental or suicide.

    Thanks for covering this! I live in NH as well so it is nice to see this get some coverage. At one time they sort of had a suspect who moved away and wound up killing his wife/girlfriend in a murder/suicide in Florida. After that the case almost disappeared. I remember when most of these murders were happening. They also think one or two in the late 1970s could be done by the same person & he killed many more than mentioned. He basically killed in NH & Vermont on the border area & towns. There is Interstate I-91 which goes right along the border of both states making it easy to travel & taking exits with a quick get away back to the highway. One woman was killed at a rest stop area & possibly one or two more at rest stops iirc, it has been a while. I saw the report on channel 9 news (WMUR) as it is our local news station where I live. I was surprised and glad this was happening. They haven't let on they had a new suspect so maybe they have some info they are being quiet about. It sounds like they may if they have the warrant sealed and are not releasing any info. This makes me think they actually have some legitimate info now which is great. I appreciate you doing a video on this & hopefully this leads to something.

    I grew up in Newport. Everybody who lives in the area knows the stories of the CRV killer. We’ve always known the killer to be the house owner Jeffrey Champagne. It’s never been disputed it was him and most of the victims were nurses that had some connection to his mom or grandmother. He used to wash his car in nothing but a gstring thong, had a large playboy bunny flag displayed on front of house and he had an imaginary friend named RODNEY that he would take everywhere in public with him even order Rodney meals at restaurants and scold him for being naughty in public.
    There’s no dispute among area residents that he’s the killer what’s not understood is how he’s not been arrested for more than 40 years.
    We’re all pretty shocked now since house was raided yesterday and feel pretty certain the police have always known it was him considering all residents on 4 surrounding towns have known since early 80’s.

To which sadly still remains unsolved as of 2024. I don’t know if these cases are linked or related. But at this point anything is possible, The problem is that I have no proof whatsoever besides the similarities of both composite sketches of these suspects.

A woman from Florida attempted to convince her a guy named Michael Nicholau did it, but this woman was just trying to get press coverage of herself and manipulated Jane. Unsolved Mysteries has yet to update their update to the case that paints Nicholau as the suspect. Even the criminal profiler definitively said Nicholau was NOT the CRSK.

    I find it very intriguing as the criminal profiler had basically written this guy off as he supposedly wasn't "organized" enough to commit these crimes, but looking at the radius of crimes around his house, the Sugar River being so close to his house (where some victims were found), and the hospital connections between several victims and where his mother had worked... it makes you wonder. If not all the cases... Jane reported the person who attacked her drove a Jeep Wagoneer and there is no evidence this guy ever owned one. Not to say he couldn't have stolen one, but I do wonder at the very least, if he IS in fact tied to a few killings, if there may be another person to look at (see Heidi Martin's case- her sister has developed a viable person of interest- who moved to Maine sometime after Jane's attack and then similar MO killings started up that way). This will be interesting to see how it plays out, but hope first and foremost for justice to the victims and their families.

    Just thinking about eulogies. As far as I know, any eulogy is written up by family. The observation here, is the (last grandparent) death, the eulogy is likely written by the remaining family member. And no reporter questions a eulogy. So the eulogy can be manipulated to indicate certain terms of choice of terms of death as there is no family member to question or contest the eulogy written. So… maybe they all passed ‘after a brief sickness’ …. Who’s to question a eulogy if you’re not a close member to the deceased.

    These murders some of these murders were committed by the early rising of long Island serial killer rex heuermann. The Connecticut valley killings has went on for alittle over 40 years from 1978 to 2021. I will be one of the researchers who would exclude rex heuermann from the early route 8 killings only from 1978 to 1981. As he would be one of the Connecticut valley Rt 8 killers still doing the early eighties as 1982. As his killing span back to that year possible, by the time he finished high school. Either he could have murdered his early victims and used route 8 as his dumping grounds to dump them, or he committed some of those murders at that route. In the eighties heuermann lived in his childhood home in Massapequa park in the state of New York. That puts him in the early and late eighties very close to that route where the murders could have occurred there, or he was one could have been one of the killers to dump some of his victims early and late at that route. It's two possible reasons that links rex to these brutal murders are for the fact, that the Connecticut valley Rt 8 killings could be connected to another unsolved murder. And that is the brutal murder of Korean New York woman su-ya kim! Who was murdered brutally by nine stab wounds by a unknown man June of 1991. And her body coldly dumped in a dumpster in Brooklyn New York. Rex Heuermann fits witnesses description a black security guard, and the police drawing of su-ya suspected killer. What possibly link the Connecticut valley killings to the brutal murder of su-ya kim! Are the reasons that in both cases, in the valley murders and the su- ya kim murder all victims was stabbed multiple times. Plus at least one of the victims in the Connecticut valley killings were disposed of in a dumpster naken, as which were the same way su-ya was disposed of in a dumpster naken.. this what links the two cases plus including something compelling that I have viewed containing to the Connecticut Rt 8 killings and the murder of su-ya kim? It's that in both cases police has created and circulated police drawings of the killers in both the valley murders and the su-ya kim murder. Two drawing were put out of the suspected killer in the Connecticut valley Rt 8 killings, and the second drawing of the man matches the police drawing of the man who killed su ya kim in New York, as the only difference are that in the valley killings the police drawing the second one of the killer shows a young white male with glasses and hair alittle short as it's been cut. In the police drawing of su ya kim killer the individual looks the same as police drawing of the Connecticut valley killer, as it looks as his hair was alittle longer but both police drawings in both cases fits rex heuermann perfectly. Plus what's known now is that the Connecticut Rt 8 killings has stopped roughly three years ago, as i believe it stopped permanently given the recent arrest of rex heuermann for the long Island serial killings in New York so I find this compelling as again it's a strong possibility that rex heuermann could have been one of the main killers in the route 8 killings..

      @@GrayHughesInvestigates Tina and Beth Sinclair. I highly doubt the CRSK had anything to do with it; if you look into Tina and Beth's circumstances, the most likely person is Tina's abusive boyfriend she was trying to leave. He had quite a criminal history too.
