- This study refutes the popular myth of the so-called "Secret Rapture". The words of Jesus Christ and the New Testament letters completely debunk this deceptive doctrine. This brief study covers some of the essentials and will be followed up with a further study on the origins of the "Secret Rapture" theory.
You know this is a new idea. The early church believed in a rapture so much so they thought they missed it and Paul had to reassure them they didn't.

Nobody who is referred to as a 'secret rapture' uses this term. Neither do they understand why this term is used. No it seems like someone created a problem mixed with irony, only to solve the problem of their own creation. A better approach might be thought of.
Read 1 Thess 4 and then read Rev 19, Christ comes both times but in VERY different manners and with VERY different intentions.

Why are you trying to make the connection of the second coming of Christ to the rapture? The church is not appointed to God's wrath and if we are taken away in the twinkling of an eye and are whisked off to the place that Christ has prepared for us, what does that have to do with the second coming? b) people take verses 'out of context'. When that is done, verses can be made to say / mean whatever the person taking them 'out of context' wants them to say / mean, in order to fit his / her / their agendas, desires, hopes, purposes, wants, wishes, etc ...

I think what this man is trying to say is, most people believe in a pretribulation rapture, and thats not biblical in the least. A 7th trumpet one is though, and all the prophets say this. That the sun and moon Go dark. The stars fall. The earth shakes. The man of sin comes. We as post tribbers see it this way. We agree in a rapture, a taking away or catching away, just not the timing. Revelation 14 shows the harvest so there should be no dispute. But it pains people to believe God would make them endure the tribulation period and say its Gods wrath and we dont face his wrath. Their right. We dont face Gods wrath. His wrath though starts at the 7 vials.
Heres revlation 14 and Jesus harvesting us. And notice another angel is harvesting the tares....

Heres revelation 15 and us in heaven and the wtath also.
1.And I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvellous, seven angels having the
seven last plagues; for in them is filled up the wrath of God.

a sea of glass mingled with fire: and them that had gotten the victory over the
beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name,

This is the rapture and the then coming wrath afterwards.
There is most certainly a rapture. It is a secret departure, like a thief in the night. It most certainly is in the Bible multiple times by multiple writers in both the Old and New Testament. However, what isn’t is in the Bible is the Futurist view that there is a 7 year period after a Rapture.

b) I am not concerned with and do not worry about things that have no direct bearing / affect on my salvation & eternal destiny. I am concerned with and worry about the things that have direct bearing / affect on my salvation & eternal destiny - that is living my life in adherence & obedience to ALL the Teachings and ALL the Commands of the Lord & Saviour, as delineated and recorded in the four Gospels - nothing more & nothing less.
There will be no "secret Pre-trib rapture" as Jesus and Paul tell us when we will be Raptured/Gathered together unto the Lord. Matthew 24:39-31...we are the Elect if we are the Called out body of believers in Jesus Christ with the Indwelling Holy Spirit. Romans/Ephesians bear witness of who are the Elect. @@Frank-st6gd LOL - All I need to know is what is important for my salvation & eternal destiny, and, that is not if there is or isn't going to be an alleged & so-called "rapture" / an alleged & so-called "secret rapture" / whether the alleged & so-called "rapture" will be pre-trib - mid-trib - post trib, etc..., nor any of the other so-called & alleged teachings that people like to argue / debate / disagree over.
What is most important and has direct bearing on my salvation & eternal destiny is living my life in adherence & obedience to ALL the Teachings and ALL the Commands of the Lord & Saviour, as delineated and recorded in the four Gospels - not the teachings, commands, doctrines, dogmas, rantings & ravings, customs & traditions, etc... of deceitful, depraved, evil, fallen, sinful, wicked men and the created institutions / organizations.

Because you have no idea about scripture, secret (mystiko) in Greek means it has not been revealed as yet. The rapture (rapio) in all Latin translated Bibles of old is the arpoxo of the Ecclisia (church). The New Testament was written in Koina Greek. Arpaxo translated to rapio then translated to caught up. There is your rapture. Do your research before you lead people astray. Respectfully. In Christ.
