I'm an old fart from Australia. I can say I was lucky enough to have seen INXS live twice - once in a relatively small venue (INXS did a "pub" tour in the early 90s), and once in a big open concert. Both times I was completely blown away - but honestly, they're still remain the best live band I have ever seen. Michael is such a huge loss.

"Suicide blonde" was inspired by Kylie Minogue. Michael Hutchence, singer of INXS, was her boyfriend at that time. Michael was such a good entertainer. Unfortunately he died 1997. One of my all time favourites. Try "Need you tonight", "Never tear us apart"

The "harmonica guy" is Andrew Farris, one of the 3 Farris brothers in the band. He wrote the music for almost every INXS song, while the lead singer, Michael Hutchence, wrote all the lyrics. They were an amazing team.

INXS had some of the best bass lines in their songs. The bass and drums would create a groove that you could feel as much as hear, and the rest of the band would bounce around inside that groove and create some great music. Very underrated band.

The song's title originates from the night Michael Hutchence and then-girlfriend Kylie Minogue attended the debut of the 1989 romantic drama film The Delinquents, which Kylie featured in. For the premiere, she wore a blonde wig whose colour she called "suicide blonde".

Unless an aussie band was signed to a US or UK record company they didn't receive airplay oversea's...the record companies didn't want to lose any sales to foreign record companies in Australia nor promote their artists...so there's a ton of brilliant music we all know off by heart that the world never got to hear. Sorry guys I was there in that crowd and I was also there in 1988. I also was at the Queen gig and they were a support at, but unfortunately they didn’t make an impression with the Queen fans, but I enjoyed it.

I'm Australian. I love that you guys give Australian music credit. My suggestion is grinspoon lost control. You'll have fun with that

I watch their reactions also! I've loved INXS since the 80's and seeing them on MTV for the first time. This whole concert is so good with the 4k restoration.

They played at the Forum Kentish Town London, May 86. I was there with about 300 others. I new of them after 6 yrs living in California. The uk was about the last country to recognise them.

100 000 at Wembley London sell out. After they exploded they didn’t do festivals. When you can see out every show around the world they didn’t need or want to

The guy playing the harmonica is Andrew Farriss who wrote all the music where Michael Hutchence wrote the lyrics.

Michael Hutchence for the longest was my ultimate frontman in a band,to me he outbeat my favourites in harder rock or even metal. And INXS always was such a great liveband, every member just talented beyond. Im just neverending devastated on the thing that happened to Michael, wich most likely led to him...."walking away from us". He just never became himself afterwards. Every girl i knew at the time had the biggest crush on him,and he dated several of the hottest models and female singers out there. One of his closest female friends said she knew "whoever he was with, would be the most spoiled, loved female",he took the best care of his ladies. A real ladiesman in all the right descriptions of the word. I think he defintly searched for that one specific soulmate,he didnt jump from female to female like alot of guys would do(and does). And if you listen to interviews with them,he is just this amazing guy all around. Long live his memory, and bless his soul!
