No Fly December?

- Although I did get out for one quick 20 min flight, I am calling this No Fly December. Between my busy work schedule right now and the weather, I have not logged any time this month (or even worked on the Kitfox for that matter).

You got to chase me right after your phone call! I wish we had more time to fly around that afternoon. I'm working on a pair of skis right now, I'll share my progress.

thanks for the videos brian. i am in the up in michigan and i also would like to try and fly my little j3 in the winter. i am working on mounting a set of skis and found a set of nice light but pretty heavy duty set of snowmobile ski covers on amazon to start with. check them out.
Hey James. I was thinking of using cheap Walmart kids snowboards but I still have some research to do. My first problem to solve is finding a good structural place to attach the bungee/safety cable so the tips stay up.
@@afabms kids snowboards was my first thought as well but the ski covers are very light. my skis weigh 5.5 each, making them weight even a little less than the tires and breaks. i am currently rigging the tension chords. i have yet to fly the little bird and have very little time flying at all. with that, i am only days before being ready to give it a shot. hopefully i don't wind up with a set of skis for sale by the end of the week but i will keep you posted. i would be happy to text you some pictures if you would like. mine is nine o six three two two seven five six eight.
Did you get your sport pilot lic yet?? Call me I may know where you can buy so skis for the Kitten..
Hi Brian, Thats a very nice hangar! Haven't heard from you in awhile. I was thinking of getting skis for my kitten also. If you find something let me know. Email me and I'll show you pics of what I have done to my J3 kitten.
