I used to watch this cartoon on and off in the French version, it was a great way to get an edge on my language tests, the listening tests especially. Introduced a friend to it and marathoned it, and I have to say... this thing was silly. This show had one joke, and that joke was Clark Kenting done to the extreme. So what do they do in one of the season finales? Give another guy an amulet and *double down* on it. You have to admire a dedication to consistency like that. Then there's the fact that it's the antagonist doing the narrating in the opening theme, that was different, and it made it an easy show to get into. Very useful for younger me fine-tuning his parlez-vous, and not as confusing as Di-Gata. Dragon Booster was cheesy, it was unapologetically fun, and it showed real heart in places. Just the concept alone: it's a Power Ranger on a dragon, and the dragon is also a Power Ranger. 'Nuff said.
