      Thanks for the great feedback.I used to speed up some of the parts of my video that I thought were repetitive. But I have learnt that it becomes difficult for beginners to follow and in my recent videos I've slowed way down. I hope those videos can be more useful to you 💕💕🥰

    Do you know how many yards each ball needs approximately?

    • @cutecrochet
      @cutecrochet  Год назад +1

      I don't know the exact yarn but about 15-20 grams should be plenty

    If I wanted to make a miniature one like half this size, what adjustments would I have to make. For example what would be my increase and decrease rounds?

    • @cutecrochet
      @cutecrochet  Год назад +1

      Here at first I made 7 increase rounds, then 8 constant rounds then 7 decrease rounds. The increase and decrease rounds are just the reverse of each other.
      You can basically do any number of increase rounds(eg. 4). Then do constant rounds number of increase rounds +1(eg. 4+1=5 rounds). Than do the reverse of increase rounds to decrease. Hope this made sense! 🥰

      @cutecrochet
      After decreasing the size of the caterpillar, do I still follow the same number of stitches for the 2 legs of the caterpillar?
      How to make the legs smaller please? Is it necessary to make it smaller?

    • @cutecrochet
      @cutecrochet  9 месяцев назад

      It will look more proportionate if you make the legs smaller. Try doing online the first 2 rounds and then 2 constant rounds, see how it feels

    • @wsm3828
      @wsm3828 9 месяцев назад

      @@cutecrochet thanks for the tip.
      I did the first 2 rows.
      3rd row is constant (12 sc)
      4th : sc, sc 1 decrease ( 9sc)
      It seems to be OK
      Thanks for responding

    How do u stop ur thread from getting tight at the looping part bc then mine gets stuck

    • @cutecrochet
      @cutecrochet  5 месяцев назад

      That might happen if your stitches are too tight. Just keep stitches loose enough and it should work

  • @s_ewwork1051

    What's the diameter. I'm not a fan of fiber fill, maybe a microbead ball.

    • @cutecrochet
      @cutecrochet  6 месяцев назад

      In my case the balls are about 8cm in diameter. You're might vary a bit based on your yarn and hook size. I'm not sure about the washablity of microbead balls. If you don't like fiber fill you can use any scrap fabric or yarn for stuffing. 💗

    Can we use cotton yarn for this ?

  • @louiseburns340
    @louiseburns340 Год назад

    What yarn is being used? What is the name of it cause it doesn't look like Red Heart but not sure.

    • @cutecrochet
      @cutecrochet  Год назад +2

      It's a type of yarn called Cashmilon, which is a blend of cotton and acrylic. Red heart can be a good substitute for it

    • @louiseburns340
      @louiseburns340 Год назад

      The colors are so bright. I put casmilon in the search engine but came up with a lot of cashmere yarn. I'll keep looking though. I'd like to get some of the yarn your using.

    • @cutecrochet
      @cutecrochet  Год назад

      Hehe, cashmere is wayy more expensive and has nothing to do it cashmilon. Cashmilon is almost completely synthetic with absolutely no animal fibers, but it's still pretty soft and warm. I use it mainly because it comes in such a wide variety of colours and it is available locally where I'm from at a very affordable price.
      I wouldn't say it's worth splurging over tho, especially if you have to buy it imported.

    What type of yarn and the colour numbers you used?
    Tvanks

    • @cutecrochet
      @cutecrochet  Год назад +1

      It's medium weight 4ply yarn and it's a blend of cotton and acrylic. I used purple,blue, mint, yellow, peach and pink for the rainbow part, cream for the face and hot pink for the antenna

    If i want to make bigger one, can i just double the pattern?

    • @cutecrochet
      @cutecrochet  9 месяцев назад +1

      That might not work. I'd suggest using thicker yarn or just doubling up your yarn and using a larger hook if you want to make it large while keeping the pattern same.

    What kind of yarn should I use for a baby

    • @cutecrochet
      @cutecrochet  2 года назад +1

      If I'm making wearable things for babies I use either sock weight or special baby yarn. For amigurumis I find acrylics give the best structure. Cotton is also good.
