Would you be okay with making the designs for your cat shelves available? Hand drawn with some specs and call outs for materials and any tips you might think should be there - would be enough and amazing! I need to get my kitties moving. I am disabled and limited in movement. I tried to teach my two cats to fetch, but, many times, and nope, not their thing. I've got the motion toys, the puzzle toys, throw toys, lots of cat trees, cat beds...but I need to them to exercise more - plus the one son cat want to get up on top of the counters where Mom goes, but he can't get up there. He cries and cries when she's up there staring down at him and he's just frustrated! To open up more of the 3D dimension I know would make them happy. So, just reaching out. I know there's similar online, but I don't trust a lot of that stuff, often cheaply made but expensive, it seems.
Check out “2 Ways To Do Floating Shelves - Which Is Stronger?” from “A Mere Creator”. The video was uploaded on April 14th, 2022. He uses 2x10 boards rather than finished boards like I did. He has links to everything he used, including the shelf brackets, and walks you through step by step. The main thing is to be 100% sure the brackets are attached to studs, which he details in the video. I used Reliabilt Select Pine Boards from Lowe’s rather than framing lumber…but that definitely increases the cost.
Good cats. There is wisdom and serenity in those faces.
they look very sweet
Beauty full Cats
Awww 🥰 named them after the characters from Nickelodeon’s Avatar, The Last Airbender!
They remind me so much of Si & Am from Disney.
