I've been trying to reset my Lenovo ideapad S10e.
I've tried doing what you said, and it came up with a totally different menu than what you got on the screen in the video.
the options that I have are:
- repair your computer
- Safe mode
- Safe mode with Networking
- Safe mode with Command Prompt
- Enable Boot Logging
- Enable low-resolution video (640x480)
- Last known Good Configuration (advanced)
- Directory services restore mode
- Debugging mode
- Disable automatic restart on system failure
- Disable driver signature enforcement
- Start Windows Normally
This sort of laptop is sort of an old one, and it runs really slow, I've had this particular one since Year 12, 2012, with the graduation process.
Australia had these school laptops handed out in 2009, and I went through at least 4 of these little laptops because one wouldn't even let me log in and was stuck in the system update, one constantly had the bluescreen of death and I couldn't do anything, the third one completely died, and then there was the problem with the graduation process.
I'm just wandering if it's possible to be able to reset this little thing without having to take it to someone to reset it for me? Because I would like to reset it today if possible, so I can hopefully sell it in the near future..
There's a reset button, but that did nothing but turn the computer on..
Hopefully this is enough information for you to go off, but yeah, I'm really stuck with the little laptop..

the above way did not work but i called lenovo tech support who gave me this advice and it works for lenovo flex 10 ideapad:
1. switch on
2. hold down shift
3. while holding down shift select restart
this will take to reset options

i have a lenove sl410 and it has a restore partition on it and will allow you to make a factory restore disk and then all you have to do is boot to disk and then reset your computer to factory specs

As soon as I put in my password my computer screen immediately goes black. No icons come on at all. I have had this IdeaPad S145 less than a week. HELP!
i tap f8 number of times and it keeps going to the sleep screen then when i click it goes to password screen.
When I try to reset it it just says: "There was a problem resetting your PC." Nothing else, doesn't give me an error code or anything like that, I can only hit cancel.

Hi! thanks for video, but sometimes it doesn't work so simple. For me doesn't work. After starting the reset, at 1% simply stopped after several minutes and said "There was a problem resetting your PC. No changes were made" and I got only option to cancel. I choose "all drives" and "fully cleaning" because there is nothing I want to keep, no information or file, just want to use the laptop.
Other way I tried, one key recovery, gave me this result: "the program cannot restore the system partition because its structure is incorrect. You may have to recreate the partition to continue".
What can I do in this situation? I will really appreciate, REALLY, a hand of help here, thanks!
Your hard drive is bad. You'll need to get a new hard drive for about $25 and a Windows install DVD disc that is compatible with your product key on the bottom of the laptop. You can get a disc for $10 on Ebay. Takes about 40 minutes to manually install windows on a new hard drive.

I have the same problem on my 100s. it has a problem with sleep mode where it won't wake up, so I reset the PC based on lenovo support. I have basically bricked the laptop now when I try to boot windows I get stuck on a screen with keyboard and touchpad inoperative! great!
