It is the little things that make me chuckle on Chris' content. The fact he had some Polka music ready to play on the ID3, how more Bavarian could you be ?
The question is do I want matrixLEDs and frustrating click, long press and swipe on the cruise control speed button. Or nice, wide armrest and happily only press for the +10 km/h. But no matrixLEDS
I think you'd be very happy either way. I own a Born but would happily have the latest ID3. Cupra have nailed the handling and I suspect the VZ probably is the better handling car, if that's your thing. It is mine. The ID3 is a great handling thing too, but built for comfort in comparison. Better options on the ID, like rear cycle carrier if you spec it from new.
The Cupra app is so painfully slow, horrible in the day to day usage. Otherwise I’d say that the Born is very much a better looking Id.3, but I’m a bit biased since I drive one. 🤷🏻♂️
Both options are excessively overpriced for what they deliver. Volkswagen should urgently phase out this platform, offer these cars at more competitive prices, and invest in developing superior platforms to produce better vehicles. Time is running out, as China has already entered the market and is making a significant impact.
Have you even driven one of them? I have a Cupra Born 77 kW and I can tell you that its the best car I ever owned? And here in Denmark where I live - owners of MEB-platform-vehicles in general seem really happy with their cars. Especially with the addition of the newest 286 bhp 'engine'
What about the ride/cornering/handling/ground height?
ID3 looks friendly and welcoming. Most Cupra's look more menacing and edgy. Think Children's TV presenter Vs Heavy Metal band !
The better is the other Cupra on the left of ID3 😄😄😄

Why only the ID4 has double glazed windows and not the ID3?
Id3 Gtx matrix led 👍 cupra born simple Classic led 🚮
Seats more confortable on GTX cupra born seats backet Wood 🤣
What is the ID.3 2025 maximum charging speed ? VW says 165 kW for the 59 kWh battery version but mine stops at 130 kW under 20%…
I am torn between a Born VZ and an id3 GTX……..
I looked at both and bought the GTX. Extremely happy with the GTX!
I both the Born VZ, and i love that car!

Why do you mainly review MEB cars. I ask this because they seem way more common than others on your channel.
Why do you say 60kWh for Born and 59kWh for ID3 - are they not identical at 59kWh?

And you can buy an ID3 or Born for the same money as a petrol Golf or Seat Leon
The newest ID.3 Is 2025 model
