Keep in mind, most people in Belarus dont speak English, you might face very drunk locals in a Bar or club, best thing to do is keep calm, do not raise your voice even if you are offended by them, there is security everywhere and will dissolve the issue usually by kicking them out.

Drinking in public is frowned upon in most countries. Here in the U.S. obviously if your drunk the cops don't bother you unless your actually bothering people. But laws differ from state to state and each city has it's own laws on the matter as well.

1.) Her adorable Eastern European accent!!!
2.) The way she made eye contact when interacting with you
3.) The expression on her face when you mentioned the fact about Belarusians and alcohol.

In the list of alcohol consumption Belarus was on top from 2010 (about 15 liters per person older 15) according to WHO. Dasha is just too beautiful to be intrested in such things. In 2018 Belarus was on the 27th place. But on the 2nd place - Lithuania. Don't ask me where belarusians prefer to spent their weekends...

In fact, there is nothing particularly interesting in Belarus. This is a pale copy of Russia. To drive familiarity with such girls as Dasha you will need a lot of money or a lot of time or knowledge of the Russian language. Better come to Moscow or St. Petersburg. In Russia there is everything that is in Belarus and even much more. In Moscow the concentration of beautiful girls on one square mile more than in the whole of Belarus.

No way Belarusians are people who consume most alcohol per capita in the world - but probably Ukraine deserves that title. For one, it was perfectly legal (even for tourists such as myself) to drink beer while walking along public streets - and it was difficult to avoid tripping over the never ending opportunities to buy alcohol beverages on any given city block. Not only is it possible to buy beer at the McDonald's in Ukraine - but quite often you will literally see people drinking alcoholic beverages at restaurants and cafe's DURING BREAKFAST HOURS. And in other public places - it's common to see young teenagers sitting on park benches drinking beer too. To be fair - Americans probably drink as much alcohol as anybody in Eastern Europe. We just hide it better through our legislation and some cultural dynamics.

Thank you for the video! This registration for foreigners is a pain in the neck here in Russia too.But don't expect that it will disappear in the near future..Too many people come to Russia from Asia, from the former Soviet republics. I wish people were fined for swearing in public places in Russia. It's really annoyng that so many people swear in public transport, on the streets etc. They could respect others at least a little and pay attention to the fact that there are often kids nearby.Sorry for nagging )

It seems its different city by city. I often visit a small city in Russia as it's where my girlfriend lives and the registration process is indeed a headache but its not too time consuming. Usually only 30 minutes. But in 2012 I visited Pskov and stayed in a private residence there, too. And wow the situation was much more complex and time-consuming!

You can say taboo words without any punishment but they are considered as bad habit and behavior. You can take pictures near governmental buildings and metro without any punishment also. It’s absolutely not allowed to drink alcohol at the street. But if you’re calm the police may just warn you not to drink and leave you. Especially when it concerns to foreigners.

@@martinmazivisa1326 yes, you can find racism in belarus, just like you can find racism in spain, italy, or even canada! Racism is not about the place you are, its about the people you meet....
Just keep in mind that people are different... Make sure you are meeting good people, making good friends, stay away from stupid ignorant people and youll be fine anywhere! I hope you have a nice experience in my beautiful country 🇧🇾❤️
