I find this very interesting, because I think that’s how I initially felt about this music too. But now when I listen to this, rather than a descent into madness, I feel an uncovering of the madness that was always there, underlying everything. It feels disturbing and hard to look at, until you reach the point when you accept and embrace the madness. Then it just is what it is.

It’s gibberish, mostly. Reflecting the sheer insanity of the parade of dreams that this song plays during. It’s very fatalist and depressing because it’s serving as an escape from life. (The scene begins with several salarymen flinging themselves happily off the roof of an office building)
It is the result of a conglomeration of dreams coming together under the banner of someone crazy. It is intentionally chaotic and the scene itself plays out many stereotypes of problems in Japanese culture. Of course the movie was directed by the same guy who made an anime that boiled down into an attack on Moe culture.

The lyrics are interesting though. It's a movie song, and it might be a bit of nonsense to critique just the song , in particular only lyric.
Even from a Japanese perspective , the lyrics are not usual little as sentences. It's a bit surrealistic, or cut-up. its like a feeling little bit messy.
Western pple should enjoy Japanese songs a little more calmly. I think jp artists are bit eccentric sometimes.
