Great interview. Shame Wood Harris is not seen around too much in the big screens like a Will Smith or Jamie Foxx etc. He's been doing his thing for 20+ years and proven himself in every role he gets. Much respect to you Mr Wood Harris.
@@umarrasul1310 yup, its obvious that his spotlight was capped off and didn't turn A list because he didn't join the gaymafia. funny jamie fox and will smith were mentioned because they have had tons of rumors of them being "down low"
Love the fact that he spoke on his childhood & also how growing up around a bunch of women can sometimes affect the emotional of lil boys but he was blessed to have his father & his big brother! I genuinely respect Mr Harris He’s very wise and I would definitely expose my 3 sons to him as an example no matter how you came up you can still rise to top!
Wood is very underrated, never made headlines, always proved he was well seasoned for movies and sitcoms. A very stable element in Hollywood, wood is stamped for approval. A real inspiration
Above the rim was more iconic for me as I was 15 year old guy beginning my own crazy life in Chicago, and I went and saw it. As for Paid in full I saw it after I was grown and had become a veteran that survived the hood and transcended the street life.
Im glad that Wood mentioned the Hendrix biopic because he was spot-on in that role.I recommend all Wood Harris fans watch Hendrix, one of his best performances.Andre 3000 did a good Jimi Hendrix in,All Is By My Side,as well...
Wood Harris is phenomenal. He has always been one of my top 5 actors and arguably my favorite. Never knew he was from my city but now I understand why I prefer his style so much.
I love this man he is so amazing there is no bounds to what he can do. He is what this world needs more people like him will help our ghettos be better our young black kids have better black men to look up to. BUT HE WILL ALWAYS BE MY FAVORITE POET!!!
LOVEEEEEEEE Wood! He's soooooo smart and talented and underrated. Keep doing your thing, Wood!❤. Who remembers his brother Steve Harris from The Practice? You gotta be at least 40 to know this!😂🤣😂🤣

Mother's and father's today haven't caught for much as parents in the late 70s/80s. No revolutions no fighters anymore.
Great interview, love the Wire binge watching it again now, up to Season 3. Wood Harris is intelligent, articulate and talented, big respect from the UK 👊🏿.
He’s such A smart humble human being! Wood is a great role model! I hope to work with him in the future, he is the best kind of actor what we call in the business he’s a “character actor” he can play anything! I came close to working with him in back in 2004. Just Saul remember the Titans the other day for the millionth time and every watched above the RIM a 100 time.
YAYYYY!!!!! WOOD HARRIS!!!! I'm so glad to watch this interview!!!! He is definitely one of my FAVORITES!!! I have to also keep it real, honest and truthful!!!!! I've always had a huge crush on WOOD HARRIS!!! I also consider him a great and extremely talented actor!!!! He's always impressed me with his acting performances in all movies or TV shows I've seen him in. I recently started watching The Wire. I never watched it when it was actually on due to my work schedule at the time. I knew it was very popular and many people I knew loved the show and watched it faithfully!!! I wasn't aware at that time that WOOD HARRIS was part of the cast. When I started watching it, I was thrilled, overjoyed when I saw WOOD HARRIS on the show!!!! Once again, he did an outstanding job and let me also acknowledge that IDRIS ELBA did an amazing job also!!!! I was so disappointed when WOOD'S character was killed off the show!!!! Watching this interview I'm also thoroughly impressed with how intelligent he is!!! I'm always so impressed when I hear an actor that I'm a fan of speak with undeniable intelligence!!!!! Kudos to you WOOD for accomplishing and acquiring your Masters degree!!!! I will continue to watch whatever projects you are cast in. Always a fan, still crushing on you!!!😘!!! Continued blessings and success in your career!!!👍👏👏🏆🔥🎉🎉🎉🤍❤🤍

1 of my most Favorite Actors! I love every Movie he’s been in. I can’t believe we lived this close in the same neighborhood, at the same time & I don’t recall ever seeing him.🤦🏽♀️ Only a couple of blocks over. Wow! But keep doing what you do. Love your acting on Empire as well.
I am so happy that the wire does not have an emmy or any of that bullshit. Not having any award is a part of the wire, it had to be that way. It was too real for that shit.
I recently worked with Wood on Lady in the Lake mini-series. Not only is he a good brother. He is deep, and we had some very interesting conversations between shots. Just so you know, he is VERY involved and serious about music.
dope introspective dude..one of VLADs best interviews...i hope he get OSCAR..its already on his shelf..as far as people that follow his body of work are concerned ..very dope actor.... him and his bubba!!
Deserves so much more notoriety... The Wire & Paid In Full are both masterpieces and his acting in both is spot on.
Miles Sabin “I want my corners”
Your cute Miles
Paid In Full is really good but not a masterpiece like The Wire. He is a great actor though.
Don’t forget creed, creed 2 & remember the titans ! 🙏🏽

He should get an Oscar or Hollywood star atleast. He killed all his roles from Paid In Full to The Wire&Above The Rim.
He the same character type everytime
This interview made me fall in love with Wood Harris. Such an eloquent, smart, and humble man in every way.
Now knowing that he's from Chicago and realizing the roles he's played in the past, he's easily one of my favorite actors.
Great interview. Shame Wood Harris is not seen around too much in the big screens like a Will Smith or Jamie Foxx etc. He's been doing his thing for 20+ years and proven himself in every role he gets. Much respect to you Mr Wood Harris.
Stone Wood Harris is not gonna do something to sacrifice his self respect. He’s not gonna kiss another dude or wear a dress or buck dance. That’s why.
He also prob made bank off the wire. I heard those old hbo series like the wire and oz paid a shit load. Obviously the sopranos did to

This brother has his MFA from NYU. That's what I'm talking about, very elite. This is a focused brother.
imagine having a MFA from NYU and thinking that the moors , pre-date rome and romans didn't have written language.
Wood Harris is articulate, intelligent, deep, necessary. Too deep for Vlad.
Oh Agreed..Way Way too wise heavy for Vlad.....
Wood Harris= CLASS ACT!!
By far the best interview(my opinion) that vlad has ever done......................
