This comes in to it's own, especially when using it in super confined spaces etc where you can't use your other hand - great bit of kit for not very much money. Cheers for the comment Barrie ! 👍
Definitely makes things easier as the magnet is so strong. Jury is still out on the Makita gold bits, they are good but not sure if they are worth the extra money. If nothing else, they look cool 😂😎👍
I think black decker ...had a slide collar to a least hold the dam screw.... Dart brand. Had a strong double magnet .. Great video 👍 Barry . I'd like your pro /cons of Veto ...are they overpriced . Should I buy ...go for the bigger bag ...or will it be too heavy...
Yes, I used that slide collar screw holder from Dewalt, I just did not get on with it, too much faffing around with it. The Makita set up is much easier. Regarding the Veto bags, they are not cheap but the build quality and 5 year warranty justifies the price IMO. The problem with Veto is that they become quite addictive, once you have one, you want more 😂. The biggest Veto bag I have is the TECH XL and it does get very heavy if stuffed full of tools. I have learned with Veto bags (through experience) that they are most effective if you just load them with your most used tools.............easier said than done, because you can cram so much in to them !! I find the TECH LC to be the perfect size bag for most applications, but it depends on what you feel you need. They are all very individual depending on your specific needs. Great bags though ! I have one of those already Paul and it is nowhere near as powerful as the Makita Magboost IMO - Just my opinion of course. I was genuinely surprised at how powerful the Makita set up is. Thanks for the comment mate 👍😎
I don't think the Wera Rapidaptor is impact rated. FFX sell a magnetic stainless steel Wera impact rated bit holder for £9.95 posted it is heavy duty. Screwfix are selling the exact same Wera impact stainless steel magnetic bit holder for £16.99.
I have used the Wera rapidaptors for years on my impact drivers and never had an issue. I also have a couple of Wera "Impaktor" bit holders but I do prefer the rapidaptors as they hold the bits better. I suppose it depends how much torque you are putting them through, I generally don't do that much heavy duty work with the rapidaptors - usually just 30-50mm wood screws. Thanks for the comment 👍
Thanks for the reply 👍 I forgot to say you can buy 2 Wera Impaktor on the FFX for £8.45 each plus free postage compared to £16.99 on Screwfix for 1. That is a very good saving. The magnet on the Wera Impaktor is very strong as well. Milwaukee and Makita sell something very similar to the Wera Rapidaptor and are impact rated as well. The collar and quick release on the Wera Rapidaptor is very handy for holding screws as well. For some reason my reply keeps getting deleted.
LOL, Just once, count yourself lucky mate 😂😂 this thing will sort you out, it surprised me how good it is, I thought it was a bit of a gimmick at first but it really is a good bit of kit !
