  • Violin & piano duet of "If You Love Me For Me" from Barbie as the Princess and the Pauper. (Best to listen with both earbuds, as we didn't balance the sound between each one.)
Art by my sister ( @elizabeth_sue_art on Instagram.)
Played by my sister on violin and me on piano.
We used an arrangement by Marisa Fullenkamp for the melodies & chords, but then I composed my own piano arrangement to make it more my style and insert more elements of the original song instrumentals into it. And I also wrote my sister a couple sections of violin harmony.
This isn't meant to be a professional cover! Please keep in mind my sister is still learning violin, and I'm by no means a professional. We just did this for fun!
The artwork is of Erika the pauper and King Dominick, who were the characters who sang this duet in the movie. My sister primarily plays Erika's part, and I primarily play Dominick's -- except at the end where we swap (for aesthetic reasons lol.)
This is a movie from our childhood that we used to be obsessed with! I was an Erika fan, and my sister was an Anneliese fan. We even had those 2 dolls that would sing the "I'm a Girl Like You" duet together when you would press the buttons at the same time. 😂👏
Anyway, since the Barbie movie came out recently, we figured it was a good time to do something with it!
    💙💗🦋
