RECARO or CORBEAU - Which is Best? Time for a SEAT UPGRADE in our Land Rover Defender 110 XS Utility

- What are the best seats to upgrade to from the original OEM seats fitted in the Defender 90 / 110 XS / Puma / TD5, etc.? Are Recaro seats (Cross Sportster CS with the flatter seat cushion) worth the extra money, do they still have removable seat bases, or are other brands like Corbeau RSS / RXI Elite seats just as good, if not better? Are bucket seats a wise choice in a Land Rover Defender, and should you choose low base or regular high base bucket seats? What about other types of seats like Exmoor Trim or Premium Puma seats as fitted in Defenders from 2013 onwards?
The time has finally come to change the seats in my own Defender, it’s been planned for a while and I wish I’d done it sooner to be honest. The new upgraded Defender seats are now so much better than the OEMs, you need to go out and get some right away! These look great. Deffo the next upgrade for our 110. Just been looking online and would be keen to know if yours are leather or the vinyl ones? Also appreciate the helpful info about the extra space in the back for the kids seats.

They look great, keep up the videos. On the whole do they take up less space than OEM seats? Do they protrude at the back more too? I have a 2 seater pickup and I’m trying to figure out what will fit?

Did you end up changing your OEM seats? I’ve got a 110 hi cap with the same problem, not sure what will take up less room as I’m 6’7 and it’s tight but useable at the moment
Very informative video. Did you look into the seats by Exmoor Trim? If you wanted the removable base like the OEM and the old Recaros they have them on their seats
The rare times I need access to under the seat I don't mind unbolting, it's fairly easy but yes having removable bases are preferable if you need regular access.
Look great.... But I couldn't manage without access to fuses and battery

Good review but I missed how the shorter bolts affected the heating elements on the passenger seat, or maybe I misunderstood?
It was the bolts that attach the seat to the base, the oem ones are too long to re-use so don't fully tighten down the new seat frame securely to the new seat base (they bottom out underneath), so you need shorter bolts to fix the seat to the base properly. Nothing to do with the heating elements, sorry to confuse you!
Hello, I’m interested to buy new seats for my defender 110 SW TD5 2006. Does corbeau fit to my defender and where I can buy them (heated) at the best price (delivered in Belgium)?
So the new bolts were they m8 x20 or m8x25 only asking as just hit the same problem
