Hi guys! In this video I'll give you a personal tour of Dongdaemun Design Plaza (동대문디자인플라자) from the subway station (Dongdaemun History & Culture Park) to the LED Rose garden. What to do at DDP Seoul? This is where you'll find Hera Seoul Fashion Week, the biggest design market in Seoul, and exhibition after exhibition. Top off the evening enjoying the 25,000 LED flowers. So let's go inside the building, and explore everything from the Design Lab to the Museum.
This famous building was designed by the late Iraqi British architect Zaha Hadid and is really a landmark building in Seoul which put the city on the map as a design city.

This diaper changing rooms looks so amazing. Personally I don't have kids. But as a mother I would prefer such a good & clean room for feeding a baby without any anybody around!!! Thanks for showing interesting things.
It’s something I would always look for a couple of years ago. I don’t need it anymore but I always like to see baby friendly places like this 😀

Such a helpful video! I think you make the best guide videos on RUclips. There are many young girls and guys making Korean videos but they tend to focus on making the video about themselves, their "brand" image, and making themselves look cool. Your videos are much more helpful as guides of what to see and do around Korea. I am planning on visiting in the spring and your videos have really helped me decide which things I really want to include on my trip.

Just FYI the design lab with all the cute shops is closed now!! :( It's a big empty space. I don't know what they'll put in there.

Thank you for sharing, Marie! The Design Plaza is HUGE!!! It would make a full fun day going there! I also love the variety of shops & restaurants. Yes there so much to do here and you can definitely make a day of it! The surrounding area has a lot of shops as well!

This building is for the Iraqi architect Zaha Hadid in South Korea. I am really proud of her buildings in all the security countries. When I go to see her, I really hope to become like her when my eldest son and son have many buildings in Iraq.❤

Reddit travel korea make it sound like tourist just take photos of building and dash off, so I wasn’t interested at first. But since you mention it’s one of your favourite place to hang out w family , I’m thinking of adding to travel itinerary.
Not exactly top destination we used to go there a lot for the exhibitions and shops (not sure if they are still around)

There are so many things to do in Seoul! I don’t think the design market is that well known so I wanted to feature it!
A korean also brought those roses that lights up, it’s here in Cebu Philippines it’s called 10,000 roses

Love your videos! I find it kinda funny tho that you seem to really prefer Japanese food to Korean food. I personally love both but I do wish you would show more Korean food spots as that's what i will be looking for more in Korea. But no worries your videos are great!

We haven’t met any mean or unkind Koreans here. Most of our casual encounters here are pleasant and friendly. We always get freebies when we go shopping in their stores especially the small shops.
i went to the ddp once but I didn't do any research on the inside of the building and I want to go again to explore what the building has to offer aside from its main store. is there any rooms that don't allow tourists or you need to pay?
The design lab with all the cool stuff closed 😭. Most exhibitions you have to pay, but sometimes they will have a gift shop and a few activities in the hallways.

If there is a special exhibition, you do have to pay for it. For example I went to one on Alessi and it was about $18-$20.
I love your videos! Me and my fellow ajummah bestie are planning on moving to Seoul in roughly a year and your videos are pretty great. I just want to mention something that I hope you don't take as a harsh criticism - I noticed this video and the Hongdae one were so shaky and bumpy, especially when you sped the video. It made it hard to watch. I hope you keep doing great videos.
Hi! Sorry about that. I do use a stabilizer and try to make it as smooth as possible but it’s not perfect especially when I speed it up. :)

Its free to go into most spaces, you just have to pay to go to an exhibition :)
