Is soldering the only reliable way to actually connect pins to these holes on the D1 Mini? I've tried simply sticking the header pins into the breadboard and sandwiching the D1 Mini between the breadboard and the headers, a well as many other shoddy setups, but they just don't work. The connection to the holes is unreliable, and I usually have to press on it with my hand to make it work. So, is soldering my only real option? I've heard of hammer headers, but I have no idea how reliable those are, and I can't find any for the D1 Mini.
Great video for beginners! If anyone is curious to see a more experienced technique in action, look up "drag soldering": ruclips.net/video/3faoSNnvA84/видео.html
