Thanks. Onefinity is modular in its construction: they used the same aluminum part for the “feet” of the X and Y rails. So once I got the geometry right, I could use same attachment points for both raceways.

I've been using this drag chain system for 6 months now and it's worked great. The only issue that I've run into is that the back of the track runs into my hose boom mounting bracket if I try and use the last 1/2" of the Y axis. I hasn't been a big enough problem for me to even worry about a solution though. Thanks again for sharing your work on this!

Can you post a photo on Thingiverse that shows how the Rail Top Clamp and Rail Clamp Base are held together on the Rail Spacer Plate and how it stays on the aluminum extrusions? Thanks so much!

I checked everywhere but over here in Europe there's no way to purchase 3/4" 90deg aluminum extrusion. I guess for you it's just a minor effort to make these changes in the CAD... Would be highly appreciated and open your great design to people in metric land. Thanks!!
Where did you get the wire and connectors for the wire. I like the idea of making my own wire and not having to extend the factory ones. Thanks for any help.
Not your problem but I am having issues getting the 90-degree support to fit on my 1F. I have the upgraded x50 rail and the support doesn't fit exactly the same; the tram bolt is keeping the holes on the phalange from lining up. Doing some modifications to the part to see if I can get it to work. Since I only have the STL and not the Fusion360 file (no; not asking you to give that up!), I have to either carve up the existing model or create a new one from scratch (not possible in the time I have left!) I'm fair in F360 but nowhere near at the level your work is. All of the other parts fit like a glove. Love your concept and approach to addressing the shortcomings of the 1F.
Well, my Onfinity has arrived, and there is a problem, that does not surprise me. The parts listed here are for the X-35 Woodworker, while I have the X-50 Woodworker. As a result, the end pieces, for the X Rail do not fit the larger tube rails. I have modified them and will trial them once I can get them printed. Will follow up with any changes.
Hi I can confirm this as I also purchased the X-50. I extended the plugs 18mm and moved the whole X - Axis parts 10mm away from the rails. Regardless, thanks Kevin M for the design!

Thank you for this! I've printed everything andthe parts are great EXCEPT for the X/Y wire circles. Did 1F upgrade or change them? The rectangles are too narrow and don't fit the cable connection. Also, what size square nut are you using for the z plate 4mm

Question though, what is the final length of the aluminum excursions? I would like to have everything ready for when my machine arrives.
Im not seeing enough how to put together the rail for the x axis. and the elbow part for the X axis dont seam to fit. over the plug for the z axis plug? bracket is not wide enough just on the elbow.

Hi Ryan. I ended up ordering the connectors and crimps from Digikey and I bought some 20 gauge wire in a roll (It is paired wire that can be separated if needed) I'm going to use 2 lengths of this together to make 4 wires and run them through some quarter inch braided sleeve I bought.
Those of you having issues 3D printing these parts, take note of the orientation of the parts. Being new to 3D printing, I had no idea how to orient my the parts when slicing. I mostly just imported and printed. It wasn't until several failures and rewatching this video did I notice how these item were being printed. ALSO, if you have a X-50 JOURNEYMAN, you may want to consider downloading the modified version of two of the supports as they accommodate for the changes associated with the X-50 Woodworker and Journeyman models.

I guess I’m not sure what you’re asking- I removed the coiled z cable completely and made custom cables for each of the Y and Z steppers. Both are 4-wire shielded cable- 22ga, I think. Beware The pinouts of the y and z connectors are not the same, but if you’re careful with it, it works fine.

The tab has a screw hole, but I'm not sure what it's intended to be connected to. Thanks again!
Jason, how did you get this to print on an Ender 3 V2? I have the same, but I flipped that part over, put it flat on the bed diagonally, and it exceeds the white build area. So it won't let me slice it in Cura.
Got it. For those of you playing at home (on that printer) turn off Build Plate Adhesion Type. Skirt, Brim, or Raft all blow out of the build area. Now let's see if this actually prints...
@@mitchfaatz Yeah, it's a tight fit so you have to turn off adhesion for sure. I also ended up turning that part on it's edge so that I could get a good clean print without having to clean off all of the super thin/wide supports.

Ty for the response. I tried that but it seems like its tapered and as it runs out I cant get it to stick on bed. Starts out great it must be something in my settings or slicer. I'm really starting to hate this prusa worked great all day on the other parts.

Nope: you need longer stepper control cables. It sounds like onefinity will be offering extension cables as an accessory, but I can’t speak for that: I just made my own.
Without actually checking, I’m pretty sure it’s millimeters. I’ve always modeled in mm. Learning CNC in North America has me converting units ALL THE TIME though!
What spindle are you using? I printed your drag chain holder and should have it installed by the end of the week. Also thank you for making your files free!
It’s a huanyang 800w 120v water-cooled. Er-11 collets. Works great for wood and aluminum and is super quiet. Similar power to a trim router with much more control. If I did more metalwork, I’d probably want something with more power, but for now- running everything on a 120v 20A circuit it works very well.
No- I can’t remember exactly, but it was something like 2walls and 15% gyroid infill. I think I pulled out a 0.6mm nozzle to speed things up a little bit, though.

Did you ever figure out the radius ? The radius i got is 28 , so its the wrong angle for the height on the cnc.

Yes, this part replaces the existing z plug bracket. It requires different cabling.

Never mind, once I actually started to put it all together it made more sense. The tab connects to one end of the drag chain.

there may be a few on thingiverse. I found it cheaper and easier to buy off-the-shelf drag chain.

Orient that one diagonally on the print bed, with the large flat side down.

@@eiselskustomz4978 Are you using Cura? In the Rotate mode there is an option to "Lay flat". Then go to Move mode and set Z to zero

X axis supports don't work, but there is an alternative on thingiverse. Also you need longer than 48" angle for the x50 axis.

Kinda sucks to have to do modifications to a brand new machine.
While these modifications do improve the wire management, it is not necessary to run the machine
