That’s called loyalty. One of the greatest mentors they could’ve ever dreamed of
NBC wanted star power but the Wayans wanted John Witherspoon because of that comedic chemistry that they had with him. The Wayans stood on business while also not replacing Witherspoon and that show became a classic
NBC wanted a cookie cutter type they could put in their own box.

Til this day I still think the Waynes Brothers is one of the funniest sitcoms of all time! John was perfect for that part and in my opinion is one of the most realistic dads in sitcom history. It really feels like he’s their pops in real life. Glad they didn’t make that change.

Instead, the execs want to be the gods of streaming. Syndication filled their pockets with moderate complications. Going after streaming is destroying the whole industry. Because it is a mirage, a fever dream. Syndication was REAL.

I LOVED The Wayans Brothers show and The Jamie Foxx Show from back in the day.I bought the first season of The Jamie Foxx Show for $ 1.50 from a local pawn shop a few days ago,also bought the first season of The Wayans Brothers show from amazon couple weeks ago,man,the nostalgia was almost over whelming. Good stuff.

One thing I always respected about the Wayans brothers is how they had each other's backs. My brothers are back stabbers 😂. My internet was out for a week and I was looking through my stuff and found season 1 of the Wayans brothers I bought on DVD. That show was good.

John Witherspoon played a good part in Wayans brothers. I loved that show as a kid tha three of them made me laugh. Marlon n Shawn Wayans are my guy's I home they come out with something new together, them two together are a magic duo for sure no Capp.
The thing about the Wayans is that they were not HUNGRY. So you don't want our show? Somebody else will. They have TALENT. And they know what works. If they bent to the powers that be they would be ruined. So they just wait until the networks want money and come to them.
