as your new task in Sega Corporation you have been given Prototype of Sonic The Hedgehog 2. but few days before you got that prototype some people went missing and nobody knows what happened. some people say that Game has something to do with it.

If I made this, I would add a few levels from the ACTUAL beta.
Sonic: Green Hills, Neo Green Hill, Mystic Cave
Knuckles: Hidden Palace, Dust Hill, Oil Ocean
Eggman: Metropolis, Cyber City, Sky Fortress
Tails (before events of game): Wood, Chemical Plant
In what sense is this a masterpiece? This is another action game where you walk and die.

This is nowhere near a masterpiece. It's just sonic.exe with a few minor changes. One, Tails is the monster. Two, the name says Sonic 2 Lost Prototype (it does not emphasize this well). Three, it has different visuals, some of which I'll say is better than the original sonic.exe game. Other than that, this is pretty much your run off the mill exe clone

it might not be from this specific version of sonic.exe,but it is in the original sonic.exe if you remember.. but they made some small changes on this game(sonic 2 1991 lost prototype(they should've named it"TAILS.PROTOTYPE"))

"Very cool, the game is very cool". But seriously, this is another meaningless game where human souls are imprisoned in the game, very original, no one has done this before, right?
In all honesty, I gotta agree with you. The concept is overused yeah, but depending on how it's exploit could also impact it. This feels like a copy and paste of Sonix.exe 2011. Although we still have to remember it's a prototype. And for the souls trapping, we look can look at Needle Mouse and see it's done beautifully, as well as sonic.omt.
@@CrimsonSkull77 Yep, even if they use stereotypes, they could manage it very well, like you said, Needlemouse, were the son Kyle and Tom found the cadrige and decided to show it to the public, all normal, but then, all the dark happens, initiating with Kyle being murdered by Sarah/Needlemouse.
IMO the “human trapped in game” trope should instead be replaced with “weird sentient AI in game,” like the whole Mario 64 personalization thing from a while back, but just executed better

How to make better this game:
-Add all the content that appeared in the ACTUAL prototype
-Replace Knuckles with another character or quit him in general (If im honest, if i would do this, then, i would add Amy, since, this takes place after Sonic CD, and the teaser on Sound test)
-Quit Eggman
-Put all the level ideas that ImExistent405 made (I sayed his user, becua,se i like his ideas and because i don't know them all, but, they could fit, maybe i will check later)
-Make more plataformer, with maybe some enemies (To not be just like an walking simulator, that this needs kinda all the EXE games in general, take for example Mario.exe or ''An ordinary Sonic rom hack'', they have actual plataforming and challenges to not just be an shameless walking simulator, even Sonic PC Port will take that in mind)
-Kinda make better the antagonist's desing (Or atleast justify it as an Tails edition of Sonic.exe)
-Make better the frase (who says ''I AM DEMON''?, out of grammer, i think it fits better ''Praise the devil'' or something like that to refere that they praise him)
knuckles can be in sonic 2 by using the s&k lock on feature
the game has minimal platforming, the most platforming being in knuckles's section
and knuckles's section levels progress the same as another exe game
