The best show on TV at the time. My wife bought the first 8 seasons on DVD for me. She passed away May 27th last year, bless her soul, she's in heaven now.
Just googled it I'll copy and paste it... Married With Children ran for 11 seasons from 1987 to 1997. The show's pilot aired on April 5, 1987, and the series finale aired on May 5, 1997. Married With Children was the first primetime show on Fox. The show was created by Michael G. Moye and Ron Leavitt. It starred Ed O'Neill as Al Bundy, Katey Sagal as Peggy Bundy, Christina Applegate, David Faustino as Bud Bundy, and Amanda Bearse as Marcy D'Arcy. The show was canceled due to declining viewership and increasing production costs. However, it remains the longest-running live-action sitcom on Fox. In 2022, Sony Pictures Television announced that an animated revival of Married With Children is in the works.
Al Bundy was awesome! You should check out Archie Bunker too 😂. We didn’t get offended back in the 80’s. Don’t know what happened to folks now days, but this was comedy!
Al Bundy was gigantic. Back then, there weren't so many people who felt constantly attacked. The ladies here in this compilation often wrote the jokes themselves. So they were totally fine with the gags, some of which were pretty offensive. By the way, Al Bundy is laughed at heartily in most episodes of the series. So the jokes go both ways.
Well Sanford and Son, here it comes. This show I aint gonna lie, I just started watching it. But I love a lot of these older shows. People are so sensitive. I mean you know what you are getting when you watch this. It’s like going to a comedy show.
Yes, more Married with Children please! One of the best, best comedies ever. There are many good compilations to react to, including from their official youtube channel.
al in real life was the nicest guy on set ...even payed for cancer treatment of one of the temp actresses sons ...yes not even main cast ...he also gave gifts to ppl alot for being on the show ...he is amazing
And whats interesting is one of the women, lost weight while she was actively on the show, and you see it, and they actually wrote in, that she confronts Bundy, asking him if he recognizes, or remembers her, you know since she lost weight, and of all the actresses, she was my fav, she gave Bundy a hard time of it, shes the one that comes to the shoe store as they're closing, and ask them aren't they open, and Bundy hands that line that unlike her mouth they occasionally close,..I absolutely loved her, she had that commanding indignant voice, like she wasn't gonna take any flak from anyone,..just brilliant, this show was crazy, watched it every week without fail, Bundy, O'Neill, was in a crazy movie with Andrew Dice Clay,..The Adventures of Ford Fairlane, I couldn't believe he was in it, and with Wayne Newton, and Priscilla Presley no less(yeah, that Presley, widow of Elvis), it was crazy,..but of course O'Neill was also in Modern Family, another crazy show,..do check those out if you haven't seen them, riotous good time,..loved your reaction, Godspeed, Peace ✌
You know why it ran 14 seasons because it was super funny back before the year 2000 we were able to laugh at each other without getting oversensitive offended and butt hurt to the women that he was picking on about being fat they were stand-up comedians and they helped him with the jokes so he wasn't being mean
late 80s to late 90s was the run time. the show was about a guy who hates his wife, life, kids, neighbors job and life.. they all hate him back.. they all rag on each other..
The show got plenty of flack at the time but the opinions and demands of the minority didn't matter as much as ratings. They didn't shut things down back then just because some people didn't approve, it was handled by saying, "Don't like it? Don't watch it".
Many of the fat women were writers and comedians who wrote many of the jokes themselves. The jokes were really making fun of Al himself. He basically peaked in high school, but thought he was destined for a wild and crazy life of parties and hot women. Instead he quickly got married, had children, and ended up making a career out of a part time job. He works in a women's shoe store, but only fat women come in. He doesn't even get the thrill of waiting on hot women.
LOVE THE REACTION!!!!!!!!!!!! :) please omit the hydraulic smashing stuff??? why?? oh well... Jesus Love tou you!!! ♥♥♥ “Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you believe in Him so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” ~ Romans 15:13
Here’s something to note. Now that these fat jokes are not done. Where are the big woman in tv or Hollywood today? This show had hundreds of big woman on the show who got acting work because it was a thing. Now people shamed those who do it until it’s not done and now those big woman are gone from tv and those jobs are gone. So those claiming they care and helping big woman have only hurt them. Which is par for the course for the woke and activist types. They make everything worse. Also I’m a big guy. I don’t get offended at things not aimed at me. General jokes about something should not offend individuals. Be it fat jokes, racial jokes, or gender jokes. Same for comments that are not jokes. How can you be offended if someone’s intentions wasn’t to offend you? You are choosing to be offended and apply negative intentions to yourself that was never directed toward you.
In case you haven't noticed in today's world with comedy and TV and movies and stuff like that they're still using the same jokes and references even on cartoons like Family Guy The Simpsons a lot of TV sitcoms and stuff like that and TV movies and so on stand-up comedy improv comedy it's all the same today and it was before Married With Children what's old TV shows like The Jeffersons All in the Family and a bunch of other TV shows with the same kind of humor so if you think that today shows don't have that kind of stuff then you are blind
Most of these woman did not just allow them to be the butt of the jokes. These were professional female comedians who wrote the jokes themselves.
Al Bundy rules !!!!!!!!
The best show on TV at the time. My wife bought the first 8 seasons on DVD for me. She passed away May 27th last year, bless her soul, she's in heaven now.

Too many delicate flowers these days.
We know all the real tough guys are found in RUclips comment sections.
This was one of the first shows on the Fox network when it started. Maybe 1987. It was definitely not a 70s show.
Al Bundy is great lol
Al Bundy was gigantic.

Love this show 😀

Next up. AL BUNDY BEATS PEOPLE UP.
From what I understand most of the women that he made fun of on the show ( not Marcy, or Peg, but the other women ) would write a lot of the jokes
Amanda bearse(marcy) was a head writer
A first-class comedy. That's why it continues to be broadcast - you can always find it on one of the TV channels! 😎👍
I don’t know if you know this but when he’s talking about balls being replaced properly, he was going bowling just so you know I remember that episode
fun fact ed o'neill who plays al bundy is a certified black belt
A different age .. People were able to laugh at yhemselves without being offended. And if you were? You just went the other way
Ed Oneil was the corner stone of that show!⚡
Not the 70’s, the 80’s.
Al Bundy. A real american hero.
1976? Where did you get that info? It started in 1987.
The thing that made everyone so soft is we went from "love they neighbor" to "indulge thy neighbor".
al in real life was the nicest guy on set ...even payed for cancer treatment of one of the temp actresses sons ...yes not even main cast ...he also gave gifts to ppl alot for being on the show ...he is amazing
i grew up watchng this show in the late 90s...love it
When comedy was comedy. This show came out in 1987...I was a Jr. in high school.
Great show!
Al Bundy is classic...get canceled halfway through one episode now
If it was actually "LIVE" and recorded in front of a live studio audience.
They couldn't stream things like they can today.
@calebritter3659 what does streaming have to do with it??? Lots of shows used laugh tracks back then
A better time. Being offended is a full time hobby for most people under 40.
Ah yes, Married With Children. Back when people weren’t professional victims, and didn’t make getting offended their jobs.
This show was to be the opposite of the Cosby show and any other family show where everyone got a long.

A joke used to be a joke, not an agenda
late 80s through mid 90s
I like that you said we don't tell ourselves the truth anymore. You should react to George Carlin soft language. He talks about that
You know why it ran 14 seasons because it was super funny back before the year 2000 we were able to laugh at each other without getting oversensitive offended and butt hurt to the women that he was picking on about being fat they were stand-up comedians and they helped him with the jokes so he wasn't being mean
al was savage.
Most people don't know that the majority of writers for this show were women.
late 80s to late 90s was the run time. the show was about a guy who hates his wife, life, kids, neighbors job and life.. they all hate him back.. they all rag on each other..

I am happy to see you two branch out from music
did you really ask a woman if she knows what pumps are? are you gonna ask her if she knows what a bra is next? 🤣
Married with children started in 1987.
Where the hell are you getting 76 from? It started in the late 80s and ran throughout the 90s.
People had thicker skin back then. Everyone is so sensitive these days!
ran 87-99

Dr Umar would like to speak to you .
Wrong. At the time, many people complained. Humor needs not be "appropriate". Everyone is fair game. If you don't like it - change the channel.
Dark comedy is like a child with cancer, it never gets old.
The 90s
People used to have a sense of humor!
Plz react to Never Really Know by Kameron Marlowe!!
