  • Simplified management of Windows Server with Automanage and Hotpatch capabilities. Automanage in Azure is a unified solution to automate operations, apply consistent best practices, and enforce policies on the servers you manage via Azure and Azure Arc. Use Hotpatch capabilities for Windows Server Azure Edition VMs to speed up deployment of updates and minimize reboots, so you can apply security updates faster.
Lead engineer for the Azure control plane, Dean Wells, joins Jeremy Chapman to share updates to Windows Server.

Great video, thanks for sharing. It would have also been great if insights about DSC configurations were included to showcase drift detection capabilities using auto-manage or maybe a separate video for later.

Greater feature parity between Azure hosted VMs as well as Arc machines would be really helpful. Love to see the direction the service is going though.

When would you have to use Reboot if required? If its never needed are their any advantages of using it?

There are months where a restart is still required. The graphic in the video actually shows the months from 2022 with and without a required restart.

0.07 - "preformed", shouldn't it be performed? Unless you're using a preformed solution, you'd still need it to be performed.
