@@juicemeister1984 tunnelvisioned a bit too hard to the Marceau, because he was on the brink of killing me, and did not expect mino to risk that move, simple as that. My Hindi dying kinda doomed us, had to make a decision on where to go and went towards Marceau

yeah that was me, sadly the P.Rupprecht couldnt manage to make them kinda ignore me and show some broadside and i didnt realise i was all left alone there. Should've moved, but than again i'm not the type of player giving up a flank.

OK, I have a serious noob question. 6:47, he's got dozens of ricochets against the Petro. But the shells are arcing really high. Aren't they hitting the superstructure? Or are they hitting the deck and the deck armor is bouncing them?
They are bouncing off Soviet Balance.
Petro's superstructure is on the smaller side, so most of those shells were hitting the deck or turrets
If you look closely you can see the shells hit everwhere else but the tiny superstructure on the Petro. And pretty much everything on the Petro when angled, has the ability to bounce most AP shells smaller than Yamato cal.

The shell missing superstructure is part of the reason but not all. more importantly, superstructure =/= auto damage.
Petro's superstructure is made of 16mm armor, you need at least 228mm to autopen it. Usually with HE, you don't have this issue.
And right above the second turret is the exposed conning tower of 200mm.
So for mino shells to pen a petro's superstructure. they must first not hit the turret or the conning tower.
Then they must hit the superstructure at a angle less than the auto pen. (any shell that will clip the superstructure vertically will bounce off), but thanks to the high shell arcs, the shells are actually coming in too steep.
This is why you we are seeing a shit ton of Ricochets instead of nonpens.
For orbital ap shells, its actually better to aim slightly off to the side of the superstructure. as there is a sizable flat box of superstructure.
6:50 Mino with HE + Cunningham + Witherer would be so OP

@@bnnt99 Except Smolensk is even more OP on account of the narrow beam making it highly prone to overpens on BB caliber guns.
It wouldn't be OP, it would be Balanced because WG saw TF2 pyro and thought it should be a boat called Smolensk

They are Eastern Europeon Russian and in charge, taking someone's suggestion is promoting them into "The Circle" and there is no way you will get there unless you droop a body at their feet or pony up some cash.

@@BruderRaziel Only light cruisers? Petro murders everything that shows it's side plating. But angle well and even petro has to switch to HE (unless your in a mino - then Petro AP murders your guns).
But, actually killing a Petro is damn easy - HE, HE and more HE.
