Hi beauties! Thanks for watching and supporting this video. Couple more points I wanted to make on where I was at financially before I opened my studio:
-I had mentally prepared to support and fund the business for up to 6 months
-I saved an emergency cushion fund (should be able to cover your personal expenses for up to 3 months)
This is really important to consider! And if having your own studio isn’t right just yet, consider starting a little space in your home. Hope this is helpful! I’m excited to release the full “Going Solo” online course too you soon! Stay tuned ❤️
Listen I know that emergency cushion fund came in clutch!!! I wish I had the option to do that, I’m actually working on it now but wheeeeew wish I would have done it first
I cannot wait to see the “Going Solo” this is so motivational in such a short clip already and genuine that’s what I want to know yes it is a risk but does pay off.
I love working for myself honestly lol.. i skipped the “work for somebody else” step & just did it.. Even on the hard days I love it 😭 if anybody is thinking about it just save up & do it
This is my goal!! I’d love to pick your brain! My biggest concern is building up my clientele. Any advice? Would you say it’s all about location, social media, or word-of-mouth? I know people say you have to have a social media but I really don’t want to do social media. So inspiring! Good for you girl. :-)
My dream job and ultimate goal is to work by myself and be my own boss. I hate working with people and for other people. Less stress and drama.
How much did you save before starting?
Same ; I graduated from school & aimed to open to start bringing in clients versus putting myself into a contract with someone.
I stumbled upon your videos at a Walmart parking lot when I was buying things to start out my esthetician room.
I started off with rent & deposit money. After that I had a little over $200 to buy everything. I budgeted made my room simple and cute. I started off with sample kits from Image Skincare for my 1st facials. Now I’m at a new location in a nicer neighborhood and thriving. Thank you for coming at the right time 🤍

I took the leap in October of this year, its a lot of hard work I must say. Nothing you really want in life comes easy but it’s well worth it. Now I have to decide if I want to quit my part time job or not. My books aren’t full yet but I feel like I can’t do both and my studio is suffering because I can’t put in my full time like I would like to. All these tough decisions we boss babes have to make 😅 keep up the amazing content and look forward to more videos ❤️
Congrats on opening your own spot! You did just open only a month ago so maybe give it a little more time and fully max out your dedicated days at the studio with clients. And then if it’s possible to slowly lessen your hours at your job, do that. Add one more day at a time. It’ll also make your clients VALUE your limited time. You got this!

I totally understand putting in that first year to get under your belt but not going to lie it seems kind of hard at the moment with the weird price structure (could elaborate if u still don’t understand what I mean, just ask). Are there any spas or chains your or colleagues have had good experiences with the may have establishments in Arizona? If not that’s ok just trying to continue to lay a solid foundation before working for myself. Which, again, I never really thought I could do until I started watching your journey. What is your best resource for continuing education

Trying to work on going Solo. Did you have an investor or did you take out a loan to start the business? Also rent....what is a good weekly rental rate that I should be looking for in renting a room? I am finding that most charge $125 weekly.
I have a qouestin so most jobs these days requires experience i just graduated from collage but its so hard finding a job
I would say to the developer instead of it being $9.99 a month they should have a package deal. The other app I have I have it paid until I graduate and take my state board and I paid a flat rate fee so I started school in august and have it paid up until February which by then I should have a date for my state board exam hopefully 💚
Edit: Also on the free exam I had two questions that were the same and the answer was just moved and they spelled fragrance wrong in one of the free exam questions but overall it’s a good app!

Hey girl, I’m looking to open beginning of next year, and I’m still confused on doing taxes, and paying yourself. Do you have separate bank accounts? Or maybe a separate checking account? I’m currently reading profit first. Love you vids! Thanks for all the advice. Should I hire a cpa or Tax pro? I heard tax people can legally tell you more things than cpa to help with taxes ..
Hi! Thanks for watching and for your questions. I will always say to defer to the experts. I have a CPA who helps me understand how this all works. Don’t feel like you have to know it all. And I do have a separate business account.
