Absolutely agree 100%, I played a lot of old and new games this year, but nothing hit me like Octopath Traveler 2. I loved the original and this one still managed to surpass it. It's just such a shame so many people are overlooking it. I really hope they make a third game!
Positive word of mouth is gonna keep it in people's minds and I'm still very optimistic for a third game. Might be a little while given everything else Team Asano are doing but I have faith it will happen and I will be ready when it is.
Octopath 2 was also my favourite this year, probably followed by Void Stranger, the latter of which definitely flew under the radar for a lot of people (although it's definitely a 'hard to recommend to everybody' - kind of game). I'm excited for what 2024 will bring! I'm probably most hopeful for Eiyuden Chronicle, but Metaphor: ReFantazio also looks quite interesting. Thanks for another year of content! 🥳

Always glad to give some coop game recs. It's not my general channel theme but it's a good time. As for time it's not easy but thankfully I've had jobs that give me some flexibility on work hours and that helps. Otherwise though I don't know how I fit in the gaming time sometimes.

I know there's a LOT from 2023 to play but I gotta recommend Tevi. It's now one of my favorite metroidvania type games
