@P T I agree. Upgrading to external power amps would not be my top priority. I've stated that several times in my latest MiniDSP FLEX video and on videos on the Daily HiFi channel.
Have owned it for 3 months, love it and for me everything just sounds fuller, deeper and more detailed.Cant imagine the letdown if I took this out of my home theater. Great review
Nice Review, What speakers you using with it? I have a Denon X3800 and need a good amp for 5.1.4 ....for music since the AVR shuts off when driving my 2 speakers in Pure Direct. I do prefer 2 channel 🎶 Pure Direct. Got my eye on Halo A31 or maybe the 5 channel.
Hey JoeNTell. I currently have a Parasound 5125 classic powering my surrounds and center. It is worth upgrading to the a52+. May mains are powered by an A21+ prepro is a Marantz Av8805a and klispch speakers all around
Depends on whether you need the xlr connections. You will get a 6 db increase using the xlr connections and a much lower noise floor. The components are also higher quality. Does your prepro or receiver have balanced xlr's? If not, there's no point in upgrading.
I have a Yamaha RX-A2060 and want to improve my sound. What would you recommend, parasound a52 + or Emotiva XPA-5 Gen3? Thanks for all the good videos.
Personally going for the A52+ but it depends if music is part of this decision. Parasound will sound better, how much is hard to say. Many people have the same question. Someone needs to make a video on it.
Thanks for another fun overview. I own a Parasound Halo A52+ 5 amplifier..John Curl design. I have a new pair of Totem Tribe Tower Speakers arriving very soon. They are a 4 Ohm speaker I listen to 2 channel music at low-moderate sound levels. ( I listen to Folk, jazz, Folk-rock, country/Americana) *Do you think that this pairing will create an enjoyable listening experience? Thanks!
Hey joe How would you compare this to the monolith 5 channel amp? Is the Parasound worth the extra $700-$1200? I’ve been wanting the monolith but since they are out of stock I’m going with the Parasound but I’m wondering if it’s worth the extra money?
Dope review. One of the best descriptions of audio listening I have watched. As a fan of HT and car audio I do agree that we just want to hear the music or the movie and want the forget about the equipment that makes it possible. 👍🏾
Joe: I kind of got lost in the sound. I forgot I was supposed to be reviewing the amplifier. Parasound: It took so long for the review we thought you forgot as well. 🥰🤣😂

@P T hiss is a pet peeve of mine
@P T I have an upcoming review of some OSD amps you might be interested in

The start-up click is very satisfying
I'd be curious to see frequency response measurements before and after the Parasound to see if any differences register.
Me too. It might have to be a dynamic measurement to see how it reacts to changes in frequency response. It's not going to be easy, but I can try.
Can you look into Anthem? I owned an MCA 525 and loved it. Clean and simple. Wonder how it compares. Seems to be in a similar price range.
Hi JoeN Tel! Which do you think has better sounding between Monolith 5 Parasound A52+ and Anthem mca 5 amplifier? Thank you in advance for reply!
Parasound has been making fantastic amplifiers for a while. Once you hear one anything else isn't as satisfying.

I am debating between this and the Anthem MCA 535
It made my speakers sound more expensive. Parasound should be putting that on a 👕
They gotta pay for that one. 🤣
350 Watts stereo into 4 Ohms!.....................
Wow! let's go buy a 5-Channel power amplifier! Ya, that's the ticket.

WHat do you power your dinas with?
The Dinas are powered speakers (built-in amp)
@@Gaur8n Yes, I know and i realized i misspoke .. In this case I guess what's the input selector?
I use a Chromecast Audio which I can cast many sources to via wifi.

Don't think I didn't notice....LOVE THE FILM GRAIN EFFECT!
Oh you noticed. I just tried it at the beginning.
Great Joe, I especially like Fresh Hater Jay! He doesn't like anything.
🤣 Yes, he can find something to complain about on every review.
Hey joe

I'm sorry, but I haven't reviewed the Monolith so I can't say
I have a 5 channel Carver av705x and a separate amp always sounds better.
Big upgrade in sound to go from an Emotive XPA5 Gen 2?
I have same question. Looking to sell my xpa5 gen3 for this.
Emotive is garbage compared to Parasound.
OOOOOOHHHHH YEAH!!! Now you're cooking with gas!
Wondering about a52 vs the monolith 5 or 7 channel? Anyone have both or heard both?
My system starts destorting after my ears do. Lol
Sir try to review a D-sonic please

Wonder how it compares to a 5 channel Monoprice monolith for half the price....;)
I've never tried the Monolith. I've heard good things.
Joe: I kind of got lost in the sound. I forgot I was supposed to be reviewing the amplifier.
Parasound: It took so long for the review we thought you forgot as well. 🥰🤣😂
It’s 5GS bro but it’s totally worth it. There’s 50,000 amps that don’t give the what this Amp brings.
Fresh hater Jay Hahahah!! I like that dude :D Nice review.
I like that dude too! A bit dumb, but at least he's not afraid to tell it like he sees it! ;-)
@@joentell Yeah!! but people sometimes say stupid chit :D
Anyone ever compare this to the 5125?
Save yourself literally thousands of dollars if you don't need XLR and pick up a Parasound HCA-2205A...an actual John Curl amp.
Good tip.
The Halo series surpassed that amp in every way possible.
