Remington .22 has always been range ammo for us...the golden bullets, overall, have been inconsistent, dirty, and a few duds in the 1400 round bucket...thunderbolts have been marginally better...one thing about the thunderbolts, our lcp ll and mark iv run great on them...there will be a rare round that needs to be hit again, but the feeding/extraction has been exemplary...I read/heard somewhere that Remington .22 is like .0005 narrower, and that is why it performs so well in operation...don't know how true that is, but it would make sense...as for accuracy, it is average for the price range...we keep several bulk boxes on hand for the Rugers, pennies add up...our revolvers and levers run anything, and that includes golden bullets, again, pennies add up...
I'm just glad that George is still with us. Hope you are doing well. Always great content.
They got me to stop dying for a while. Feel good and went back to work. Don't know how long it will last. But I'm here.
I never had nothing but trouble with golden bullets. Cci was the gunsmith in a box for me.
Nice to see George on a beautiful Kentucky morning .
One person's junk room is another's fortress of solitude.
Hopefully no rain this weekend! Amen!👍🏽😊❤️🇺🇸

ammo companys are after the cheepest powder for their load.if a grain less for a load it may save them thousands or maybe millions of dollars.
I remember when a brick of remington golden was $15 . and a brick of regular remingtons was $13. those were the days.

I have a Marlin Model 60 that doesn’t like Remington golden “bullets” but it can’t jam on CCI Minimags
Howdy George, hope your health is good. We must be neighbors. I live about 10 miles from KCR. I'll see you there!

He has cancer and is receiving treatment. Thankfully, he appears to continue to enjoy life and share knowledge.
He also had his remaining teeth extracted due to chemotherapy.
