Being a 68 year old DIY solo big game rifle hunter, I had to switch to ground blind hunting a few years ago. Since then, I've had a lot more success while hunting; elk, mule deer and white tail. The trick is choosing a ground blind that suits you, and then, learning just the right place and time for hunting from one. Don't be afraid to spend the extra dime for a good comfortable swivel blind chair. You won't be sorry! My hunting blind is totally weatherproof. And truth be told, I've been known to spend opening night in my hide, a time or two, so I don't miss my shot at first light.

Blinds aint worth a damn on public. But they have one great use. Does snort at them. Note the direction. Bucks follow does. Return in a week after blind is gone. Great place to hunt. Like a Gobbler telling u his location. Especially good for scouting when leaves are a foot deep in October.

Muddy has a pretty good one with a floor but I think it's sold out right now
