Just discovered this channel and I am fuckin' hooked. Love yer humour and I'd no expected to hear so many bits of Scottish patter on the internet. Long may you continue this madness.
Holy shit it's already been 4 years been here since the channel started as Twitter shorts and loved every second of it legit one of my favorite reviewers.
I loved the first episode of Zone, it’s so charming… even if it IS just everyone showering praise upon Dai Atlas because he’s just so great and how you need to buy his toy because it’s just so great and it’ll just make your life so great
I practically screamed at the end. Dai Atlas is nice, but I've always had a big crush on Roadfire. And with your lovely lighting setup, it's the closest I'm ever gonna get to feeling like I'm near that big gorgeous red all-terrain carrot.
Even when I went to Japan in search of exclusives I couldn't find Dai Atlas, he's rare there too, believe me I looked and looked for one. Came back with a Stat Saber in the box, they seemed to have all the big lads except this guy. A real treat to have him shown off on your channel.
The "Love And Let Dai" makes him sound Welsh 😂 I always liked the look of this lad! Was tempted at one point to get the LG EX Tomy one. Then, lack of space happened! Thanks for this one Nick and Gav!
Oh, a run-of-the-mill Dai Atlus review. I suppose I'll watch it while I wait for something unique like a video of two guys discussing if Transformers One looks good or not.
GREAT REVIEW! One of the toys I wish I had gotten. Just a simple, beautiful, fun toy. But, alas, I live in the U.S. So Japanese toys were TOTALLY out of reach for me in the 90's. Though I collected a few. They were mostly related to Godzilla, a close, personal friend of mine.
Hi Gavin. You've been producing some amazing videos these past few years. They're always such an informative and incredibly funny watch. Several years ago did you used to own another YT channel on which one of the videos on it featured a walk and talk and review about a TF comic called "The Smelting Pool"? If that was you I want to say how much I enjoyed that vid. And if it wasn't you? Ah, what the hell! You or Repugnus can take the cred at least until someone else steps up and admits to making that vid. 😉
I cannot believe Gavin made fools of us all, I never would have thought he would have the whole set available. More the fool's me, I suppose, I should have seen it coming, that sly man.
Wow! I never knew about this lad and I always love seeing a new trdq review! Brilliant!!!! 🎉. Ps that base mode really is a belter of a thing best one ive seen! 😎🔥🔥👌
A name that essentially could just as well be called "BIG BIG". I dread when they make a new version of Dai Atlas and the other Powered Masters, only because I know those three are going to be an expensive Haslabs combo, if not just resell the toys they made for Japan only some years ago.
@@HiperPivociarz That was the one I was referring to, yeah. Just couldn't recall the name. Wouldn't surprise me if that was rereleased in some new look.
I love these Japanese exclusives. The look so different and awesome. Gavin, IF I can find you at TFNation, will you sign my copy of Thunderclash goes bananas?
Fun fact: Dai Atlas's japanese name doesn't have a space, its Diatlas, like that. This is of course an homage to how dire the price on these lads is now
If Dai Atlas were ever to show up in another Transformers series, who'd you want to voice him? My pick would be David Fielding, the face & original voice of Zordon from Power Rangers.
my partner has the takara legends version of this lad with all the headmasters and whatnot, but i think it loses a bit without the motorized tomfoolery. i mean, he cant even roll forward while standing stock still, what’s even the point?
@@frankierandomnumbers7525 jokes aside, I'd love to see it. As much as I don't like the crowdfunding element from such a big company, all the releases have been great so far.
@@TRDQ Oh I agree wholeheartedly. Always a gross feeling that a company who lets their CEO walk away with 9 million while they lay off a significant amount of employees before Christmas, and THEY need the money? absolute shite.
I literally say "woah I'm at the airport" every time I'm at the airport.
3:56 Repugnus going "Woah i'm at the airport" made me smile ^_^

The very first Welsh Transformer. Mrs Atlas must be very proud of wee Dafydd.

My skin is a light porridge color too.
depends how much sun I get on my extremities, but underneath the clothes is same
I find the aged white plastic look better than some of the brand new scarily white plastics.
I’ve been a transformers fan for over half of my life and this is the first time I’m seeing these characters.

I’ve always loved the JG1 fellas, when Kabaya was making those newer kits in the late 2010’s. Always wanted the tiny version of this guy.

That you deserves an award for best ease-of-access to batteries.
There are some designs that make the yellowed plastic work, I actually kinda like it here

Repugnus' line got a solid guffaw out of me.
Happy for you for the surprise ending, hehe
The jet is SO Ultraman I love it
I appreciate you waiting until after I acquired Legends Big Powered to drop this review. Tasteful as always Gav!
Reproduction rubber treads? That is a game changer.
My morn has improved ten gold, thx you gorgeous man
4th year of TRDQ and the 40th year of Transformers. Coincidence? I think not!

I don't think I've ever laughed at a trdq episode so much
Greatest Welsh Transformer ever? I mean, apart from Beast Wars Injector, who is canonically from Newport, of course.
Good to know you can get repro treads for this guy.
