thanx. i'm planning a visit to maldives late july - when they plan to re-open in bound tourism after coronavirus. they may not allow resort hopping though so check before you travel. enjoy.

they're all good. main choice maldives is whether to stay overwater or at the beach. overwater between shallow lagoon and ocean view.

The water in this side about 1.5m deep. I prefer shallow water. Sounds like you are a diver. I stayed Anantara Dhigu on this visit also - I stayed on the shallow side of Overwater villas and could wade into water with fishes swimming around, the other side exposed to Ocean deeper but didn't feel as safe...
hey, so when comparing W and Westin which one will u prefer ? and why ?
objectively about the same; Westin just had a great feel to the place, and is in the Baa Atoll, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, with lots of fish in the water...

Hello is this room the ocean view or lagoon view. Is there a huge difference in views?
this is Ocean View off memory. With lagoon view you get to see the W Island and the water is a bit shallower to wade in. Ppl do watersports that side too...

Taj Exotica Resort and Spa on a good day (prices seasonal). They have free airport transfers speedboat and a great resort.
I assume they provide buggies that haul you and your luggage from the speed boat terminal to your bungalow?
Yes Charlie - the baggage is forgotten once at W Lounge Male Airport side - magically appears in bungalow later...
When is the best time to visit Maldives?
November to April - also the most expensive time. Hot and sunny, almost no rain.

resort prices maldives very seasonal - expensive time is november-february; prices go up 50%. i went shoulder season october, the overwater villa about 1200usd a night off memory..

Lovely looking resort but the interior of that villa is just awful
W Hotels can be like that. When I stayed Hong Kong also, the interior furnishings not great but the Hotel very nice. I dont disagree.
