Could be. Sounds a bit like him. Did you see the chatter a few years ago that Hate Man may have been identified as a Mike Francesa caller? Chris from Floral Park or something like that.
that's not it at all-- stern and company just got to know gilbert over the years and learned what a 'weird' guy he was... gilbert totally appreciated 'the honor' of being goofed on by stern and could laugh at himself from Day 1...
@@xavierpaquin I kinda get what you're saying, but if you listen to as late as Artie and just post-Artie era Stern Show (bc he was banned by HS & MT in later years) Gilbert is still in fighting shape and taking on ppl like KB is currently; Howard changed his policing and policies for certain content which permanently altered the dynamics of the room allowing the show of current - Gilly only shied from personal stuff, but that was consistent throughout his tenure, where an appearance almost led to breaking off the relationship with his now widow
God I love Gilbert so much. Who else does a Froggy the Gremlin impression!!!??
Great collab between you and the Ebersol Archive Project on this one 👏
Comment #1…the greatest Stern guest of all time….Gilbert

RIP Gilbert. LLGG
Thanks for posting this. I have been looking for Howard doing the EEEEEEEEEEEEEE Vincent commercial forever.

Robin slept with Gilbert to bring him on the show during the early days
Hey. Is the caller at 5:38 Hateman?
Sounds a lot like him. Hard to tell

It's strange to know Gilbert was once something else than the butt of a joke
What joke is he the “butt” of?
@@plaidcorp He becomes sheepish later, his career and his life become the joke... here he's in fighting spirit, he even puts robin down
