Nice fish and fun video! I’ve never caught any fish on twitching jigs yet One suggestion on your bait, casting trouble … If you can tune, your reel to where that little eye that guides your line out of your Reel is set in the middle when your line is all reeled up and ready to cast that will help your line come out of the real a little bit better. The first cast that gave you trouble it was all the way to the left, and the second time it was all the way to the right . The easiest way to do this adjustment is to get your line where you typically are ready to cast, and then put your thumb down really hard on the spool and crank your handle and tell it centers that eye. From that point, it takes a couple long casts to re-organize your line on the spool, but then you should be good to go
That's one of the best tips I've heard! Yeah that totally makes sense. I'll rerun the line down river next trip out and respool it back. Then force the eye over to center. Was a bummer on the twitching jigs that buck was foul hooked on the fin. If only he bit it instead of swimming over it lol. Had to release him easy as I could.
These salmon here are so good, I wanna do a catch and cook video eventually. They fight good and I'm blessed to be able to go out and catch them so close to home. Hope you are doing well and good to hear from you!
