This is actually Irukandji 2.0 that is a little firmer than the 1.0 version (white coloured). Slightly better tension maintenance, but neither version is especially good in this area. Both are super slippery as a cross string due to their coating and flat rectangular cross section. Loses tension fast like HEAD Lynx or Yonex Polytour Pro, but remains comfortably playable even at up to 20hrs. There is no need to obsessively ensure the string is not twisted during stringing as a few twists do not affect its performance. It’s a nice soft string for a cross, if that’s what one is looking for.
Good job guys!!! Thanks for the interesting tennis info which satisfies this tennis crazy dude. I'll check out where I can buy and try out this string here in Holland. Randy
I wouldn’t recommend it in full bed. The tension maintenance is poor with Irukandji. It’s soft and very slippery as a cross. If I’m stringing with another poly main with better tension maintenance like Hyper G, I use 4lbs higher on Irukandji on the crosses. I’d usually string the cross the same or 2lbs less.
I mean... if you're hitting the same way, isn't that a good way to tell what the string is giving you? Making the string the only variable for the result?
@@rcyc what makes you think that he isn't looking to improve his aim? I've been on this channel for almost 2 years now, and his back hand slice ad forehands have looked and gotten a lot cleaner over those 2 years.

d you think this would make a good cross string to pair with ultra cable
The site recommends it as a cross but does it feel too mushy as full bed?
Also is that the regna you’re playing with?

i use it as a cross with natural gut. compared to a full bed of natural gut, it felt like natural gut still with a bigger sweet spot.
Gimme a
Break
Wait a minute it’s either round or it’s not .
Or it’s square or it’s not it can’t be round and square. Basic maths .
This string was pure garbage
Every string that u test is the best
but u always play the same way!

Instead of always looking for the best strings & rackets to improve your game, one should aim to improve the way he or she plays.

Sounds like a good first poly for my kids.
How does it compare to Ytex Quadro Twist?
