I love Chef Ramsay for his energy is infectious, his sense of humor is hilarious, and he can cook anything blindfolded. He likes to play and work hard, living his life to the fullest! A busy man, he always takes time to have fun. I watched his family time videos, and he's a fun Dad with his kids. XO
Gordon's criticism is absolutely correct. I went to a Jamie Oliver restaurant only once and got all my answers. The food sucked and the waiter didn't even bother to apologize when we told him that the vegetables were salty and the pizza's dough was rigid and thin.
Gordon's style - High class perfection, exquisitely fine, family classy and socially professional with extremely strict standards Jamie's style - Country, family friendly, beautifully rough, home style and creatively fun. Love them both, as they're masters of their own right and skill.
But I disagree with his way of making Asian egg fried rice. Three mistakes. Olive oil. Asians use regular frying oil instead. Chili jam? So weak. We use sambal, real chili paste. And the last one was the most crucial of all even Uncle Roger lost his mind on it: soaked his fried rice with water. There was oil in it and he soaked it with water as if they will mix.
And used soba noodles for ramen. And flooded his Thai green curry with mangetout and uncut mushrooms. And made butter chicken without butter. And made Indian curries by blending mango chutney. And made a laksa with squash and asparagus.
I've cooked a bunch of each chef's recipes, and IMO, if I'm hosting a dinner party, I choose Gordon's recipes, and if I'm making something during the week, I choose Jamie's recipes. Both have their own merits, just in different ways.

Will use olive oil for everything and not use anything of “authenticity” or “good health” such as not using chicken thighs or pan drippings for chicken breast and olive oil. Can’t even do a decent job of replicating cultural dishes. He’s a terrible cook. There’s a reason why his restaurants have mostly failed and people don’t watch him anymore.
