Mistakes I make all the time: using the wrong projection for data, not using a schema (so I keep adding fields as I work), messing up how I configure subtypes and domains. I primarily work with ArcGIS though - somebody told me that that's my first and biggest mistake 😂
Thanks for this vid!! One thing about temporal fields. What happens when you're importing data from a shapefile and the person who made the shapefile used a string field for time and you want to import it into a time field?
I hope that most are learning this in college. This is a basics video with the intention of covering topics for those who have not taken college courses in database management but are managing GIS teams or working with GIS in a professional setting.

There are conversion tools to change the string to a date field.
