My first four YES concerts where Relayer era shows: December 14, 1974 July 21-22, 1975 ( Spectrum Philadelphia) June 12, 1976 ( JFK STADIUM, Philadelphia) 130,000 in attendance
Completely amazing. Sound Chaser longer than the studio take, held in such a flexible sense of rhythm and presentation... but still always musical, in every moment. The fact that they took concert tour liberties with piece length and the cadenzas only adds to the mystery and majesty of the work. Great convincing live concert sound. What a nugget! Thank you! Sound Chaser... What could ever sound like this?
I saw the Crab Nebula concert in person, one of my favorite concerts ever. My only regret was Rick Wakeman was not with them but I had a second chance a few years later when they came to town again, this time playing in the round. That was great show, but the Crab Nebula concert was a perfect experience, a visual journey which matched the mu s ic perfectly.
@@josephparin9573The Ypsilanti '75 show is one of my favorite tapes from the era, since the show date is very close to 7/24 or 25?/1975, when I saw them at Roosevelt Stadium, Jersey City , NJ (not the famous '76 fm broadcast one).
My first Yes concert was this tour! Nashville Municipal Auditorium, June 1st 1976. One month before my 19th birthday. Moraz on keys, opening act was the Pousette Dart Band (never heard of them before or since)
The Cobo Hall es una pena que no haya video, una obra maestra Sound chaser y Gates Of Delirium junto con Ritual y Close to the Edge las mejores obras musicales del Rock Progresivo
Oh dear, so sorry you didn't enjoy this. Can you be precise where you believe the speed/pitch adjustments are? I assume you are comparing with the original live sources and not the studio album versions. We did no pitch adjustments ourselves but I am intrigued to check if this was done and by who. Thanks for the input, always welcome.
@@ianhartley2158 As I keep listening to it I'm starting to think this was played slightly transposed and at "cocaine BPM" rather than any repitching. When I heard this show in Atlanta they were note-perfect synched up to the album.
Are you serious? This version of GOD is the perfect one. It far surpasses the album and is propbably the best prog rock performance ever recorded. It's stunning. It's the one from Yesshows BTW.

I saw this tour at JFK Stadium in June, 1976. Incredible show I will always remember.
I'm ever so slightly jealous ! We are still on the hunt for the film tapes !!!
@@ianhartley2158 I have a bootleg of the next day's concert in Jersey City that capture the Yes set as I heard it that day.
@@SRV2013 18th June? I presume audio only?
@@ianhartley2158 Yes. I don't think any video of that concert exists. The QPR show comes closest.
Yep! My first Yes concert at 16. At the time it was the largest stadium concert.🥳😎
YES - The greatest band.
Steve Howe!!! What a master....
Most definitely!!
❤❤❤❤
Ladies and gentlemen YES the greatest show on earth. Notice the key change to help Jon's voice last the tour
Patrick!
Only Igor Khoroshev came close.
Alas, they were both 'asked to leave'...
If I had a time machine this Cobo Hall gig would be my first stop.

You were privileged to have heard Patrick.
Yeah! Right! That's because the right keyboard man for the Relayer period IS Patrick Moraz!! Saw Crab Nebula show three times .... amazing!
LOVE!!!!
Incredible quality!
Warner Music should release this commercially. It sounds phenomenal.
Hi Douglas thanks. Someone should tell them ! 😀
Isn’t GoD from YesShows from this Cobo gig ?
Even, methinks Sound Chaser is from that 3-disc Yes Live conglomerate.
This is totally cool. I WAS AT THIS SHOW!!!!
Me too, awesome. Also at the 1975 show in Ypsilanti.

I was at this show in St Louis, but the album had not been released yet. Same happened to me with The Lamb later.
if only they did more video recordings back then, I saw this tour in Boston Garden, I was mesmerized.
The tragedy is that it was filmed and they lost the tapes.
saw the tour in St Louis...my first of 31 YES concerts
Sensacional ♥️
Thank you
WONDERFUL!
Whatever way it may have happened, it may have been that these musicians decalcified their pineal glands.
Lol.....this is Top Notch - their Pinnacle of Band Cohesion and Delivery.

Wow
Is this performance of Gates of Delirium the one on Yesshows?
Yes, but with some sound tweaking
Patrick Moraz was Outstanding. Rick Wakeman Could Not Play Sound Chaser if His Life Depended On It.
What show is the audience source?
Same one
Sped up and repitched in large sections. Excepting Steve's solos. Ruins it.
