- PLEASE NOTE LOSSLESS AUDIO FILES NOW BACK ON DROPBOX - HERE ---- www.dropbox.co...
After the last upload my PC decided to crash so apologies for the delay but here's the second part of the album in its entirety.
I had to limit the visuals to get this one to upload but it's the sound we're here for so I hope this is okay.
As per the previous comments a lot of work went into editing the pieces back together especially between the songs to keep it smooth. I can take no credit for this work which was done by the rest of the team. The audio files should be accessible here - www.dropbox.co...
WHAT A GREAT LABOUR OF LOVE... WE, ALL THE YES FANS AROUND THE WORLD, WILL BE IN A DEBT OF GRATITUDE WITH YOU. GOD BLESS YOU... WONDERFUL, AMAZING, EXTRAORDINARY, BEAUTIFUL... FOREVER YES !!!!
Thank you so much.
Can't wrap my mind around the fact that Chris and Alan are gone. Rest in peace You two geniuses 🎱
Incredible! So well done! I also know the original release note by note, having listening to it 1000s of times. In this remaster each instrument and vocal is so clearly heard, while maintaining/at times improving the mix level and balance of the original! This is by far the best remaster of any release by any artist I have ever heard.
Many thanks for these kind comments.
Diamonds excavated from the mud. Thanks Ian.
Not only am I very pleased (yea, ecstatic!) on listening to the overall originals to the album version in which much of the instrumentation and vocalization was muddled and got "lost-in-the-mix" yet now is practically crystal-clear, but also hearing the snippets which were edited out and left on the studio floor, probably due to time limitations for the released recording. Much obliged 2U4 this presentation.
You've completely transformed one of my favourite records ! The quality is incredible! Thanks so much !
As I have not heard all live albums how can I possibly say that this is the best? You know what I'm going to go ahead and say it anyhow, YeSSongs the best live album hands down😊😊
It's too bad there aren't any videos that I'm aware of showing Squire doing this solo. On this particular night he performed one of the greatest bass solos of all time. Bass purists get cranky, but he was still playing an instrument with four strings and pushing the boundaries on what you could do with it. Also, Bruford s drumming was so perfect in how he enhanced and complimented Squire without trying to compete with him. He never matched the dynamics, direction and fluidity with white. To me, his solos with white came across as just stuff patched together with none ever having that specialness he achieved on Yessongs with Bruford.
Have to agree with you on the Fish version here. Never been bettered imo. That said I still believe Alan White took Yes to another plain (RIP)
@@ianhartley2158 I completely agree with you on Alan White. In fact I heard someone once say yes had gone as far as they could with bruford who by that time was better fitted for King crimson. Then I thought about it and said he's right . White just joined yes right before yessongs and is style just made them outright powerhouse. He brought an energy and in aggressiveness that bruford didn't have. I was listening to your remix of Siberian khatru from yessongs and squire and white just kill it.
Wow, never realised that Howe’s YIND solo was edited!
@@ianhartley2158 For me, this version of Starship Trouper is best version they ever did.
Squires solo closely followed the original Yes album version and is musically perfect in terms of building the tension and anticipation of both Rick and Steve's "Solos".
Rick's Moog solo is around 40 seconds of pure genius, followed by in my opinion Steve's best guitar solo.
Later versions expanded the outro, but for me were never as good as this version musically.
And for me, this whole album has been given a new lease of life with this remix which has added so much clarity to the performance that was buried within the original mix.
In many ways, the listener can feel closer to the band than was ever possible with the original recording.
Ian, thanks for all of your efforts.
@@theboofin Wakeman really ruined that. No wonder they cut him out of the record version.
Listening to this recordings makes you aware how much we mis Chris and Alan.
Thanks for the music
I think this re working of the original has been a huge success and much credit must go to the compositor for making this available to all. I have started at part one. Who was to know this was a peak.
Is very awesome and amazing I love YESS , Robert of Argentine.
thank you greatly... what an effort. what a service.
Yep, and what a band!
👍
its really really good. i just finished it here in the kitchen on a monday mid day and I am having all kinds of feelings. I used to sit in my parents room during summer vacation at age 10 in phoenix when it was too hot to go outside and blast all 3 albums while disappearing into the Deanscape world with my imagination. This remaster brought me back there to that place again.. I may restart it now
Love hearing this fresh mix!
Listening to it everyday ❤
Love hearing the raw music. Thanks so much.
Ouvir Yes as quatro horas da manhã, aos setenta anos, tomando doze latrões. Isso não tem preço.
Brilliant 👍🤙
Thanks a lot! Never heard this concert so neat and clear, even in the album. Shame de audios are not anymore available.
Thank you for the dropbox link! Awesome!!
Some amazing keyboard work by Rick around the 46:00 mark that was deeply buried in the original - very cool stuff. Thank you so much for doing this!
Brilliant! YES at their most wondrous
Finally! Fantastic sound! Thank you!!!

Excellent job!!

Unreal. It sounds remixed. Please tell me you have access to, and can do this to Yesshows.
Check out our work on ritual of the crab nebula we created a complete 76 show including the yesshows material
Picking up new tricks just listening to this and reverse engineering it in my head. 🙂 See my comment on part 1.
Hi Ian, would it be possible to make the FLAC's available somehow? I appreciate that you can't sell them but it would be fantastic to hear this in the best available quality. It's brilliant!
We're working on sharing them via dropbox so watch this space

Not sure where you got this recording of Your Move from.
But at no point on Yessongs does Jon sing "no, no, no", as he does here at 0:49
