It's so lovely that you keep lots of different types of journals for different things! I got out of scrapbooking but years ago I also used to keep; tags and receipts and ribbons and just anything that looked cute. This video has reminded me how fun that was and I should really get back into scrapbooking and journaling in this way ❤
I'm super happy you tried the "junk journal" life for a week! I don't draw in mine very often bc at this point in my life I'm honestly just burnt out on drawing/sketching arts. For the past couple years (since AUG 2020 I believe) I've been making monthly journals with a spread for every day. I have journal flip through videos of all my journals since DEC 2020 on my channel. It's been a really fun journey so far and it will take something really intense to make me quit. I have noticed a great sense of self worth and my depression has been minimal since I began journaling. I started for the same reason you did; to show that I have lived/that I exist. I couldn't bring myself to draw anymore and was in a really dark place, so I started daily journaling to help myself focus on little moments and things that bring me joy. I now have a mountain of journals in my studio and I'm so proud of them all and of myself for creating every day. Can't wait to see more of this mixed media-life appreciation-sketch book-journal from you!
I actually really enjoyed watching you journal like this. I am always saving receipts and cute clothing tags and cutting out the artwork on packaging but then it just gets stashed in a drawer.
This was so peaceful to watch! Loved the idea of mixing scrapbooking in the sketchbook and feel so much joy to see you having a good time with friends!
omg I loved the video, I've been doing this for 3 years now! I have a planner in which I organize every week and I love the combination between sketchbook/ journal/ scrapbook, it's very satisfying to see the result of all the weeks at the end of the year and to be able to remember what you did through these memories^^!
I recently got a travelers notebook as a sketchbook, and I was actually moved to get it due to your very first video! I was looking for artist who use it and when it came up in my feed I was like Oh snap Vi's first video!! But i've also gone down the route of wanting to sketch journal but not keep two different books. But thank you for this video!
I've been scrapbook/junk journaling like this for the last few trips I've gone on! I love looking back on them and they're always so much fun to put together. And I love collecting the scraps and such during the day, knowing they'll go in my notebook.
