When you teared up while speaking those words, I also teared up. My therapist (a very kind woman) just told me again "you don't have to be so hard on yourself." I really wonder how someone does that. Also loving myself honestly and not just the surface of my being. It's hard. But I believe that you can do it. I can do it. I connected a lot with your thoughts at the end about “self-loathing and how that manifests into our biggest fears.” Sometimes our biggest enemy can really be ourselves. It’s good to remind ourselves that the difficult times and errors we’ve made in life only makes us stronger and leads us to bigger and better opportunities. I’m so glad you’re back. I’m sorry you’re having such a hard time balancing everything. When I was in my 20s, I felt like it was all this pressure to have everything figured out but you don’t really get to know yourself and how you relate to the world how to balance everything until probably your 30s. I think you’re doing a great job and I’m glad to have you back. Take care of yourself.
you are a beautiful soul and sometimes life causes you to not love yourself. It takes time to get there so give yourself some grace and just move forward one day at a time.
It's always so hard to see it in the moment, but self-love is such an ever-evolving thing. You're still so young with so much life ahead of you, so many more things to do and try and places to see and explore, and parts of yourself to discover and fall in love with. Looking at ourselves critically and negatively feels like it's such an inherent thing, and unlearning that is certainly a process. I know there's no magic words that make it easier, but like many others have commented, watching your growth is something that I've really enjoyed. I never really took interest in peoples' vlogs until the last couple years, and yours always feel so personal - like we don't know each other but you're sharing parts of yourself and your life with us and as a result I've come to look forward to your videos and most importantly, the person you are and you've become. Sometimes it's hard to overcome those struggles, but I'm glad you're living with people, I'm glad you're surrounded with so much warmth and friendship and love. You deserve it! Keep on taking care of yourself - I know you'll get where you're meant to be.
Hey V, Try not to be hard on yourself. It seems you have a notion of perfection of how you are supposed to be, from the outside in. That isn't self-acceptance. Self-acceptance is from the inside out. Starting from where you are and just being yourself without measuring or comparing or judging. Meditation can help to gauge your thoughts. You can let go the thought patterns that bring you down. We can think ourselves into depression, so just work out how you might be doing that and then make a little shift to break the pattern to something new and rewarding. You can't stop depression if you don't understand how you get there. Everyone gets there in a different way. But you can heal, and be! It's totally possible! 💞
