If they make another "NSMB" game: They need to go back to the creativity of enemy designs and worlds that the SML games had, Plus Wario would be a cooler unlockable than just a title screen change IMO. ((Seriously, If that was my reward in NSMB2 I would be playing it more often))

Just came back to this after playing the new Mario Vs. Donkey GBA remake, and realized that this remake was so ahead of its time that it sounds like it could be in the ost for the Mario Vs. Donkey GBA remake on switch! Incredible remix!
Imagine this playing in the story mode of Black Ops Cold War, when Adler and Bell have gotten to the bunker under the KGB Headquarters, and are escaping with the data, getting into firefights with the guards.
If Illumination studios ever has Wario show up in the Mario movie or in a sequel, I kind of want to see a fight scene between Mario and Wario as a way to pay home age to that epic battle. Plus have a badass remix of that boss theme like this one to make Wario look like an intimidating and formidable opponent to Mario.
I almost forgot I made this comment. Now that I'm here, there is something I wanted to add to it. After watching the Sonic 2 movie. I felt that Mario and Wario's rivalry can work a bit similarly to Sonic and Knuckles'. They hate each other at first, they try to kill each other, but in the end they end up becoming friends and teaming up with each other to defeat Bowser. Just like with Knuckles. I think this can be a good way to be able to see both his evil side we see in Super Mario Land 2, the anti-hero side we see in the Wario Land games, along with his "friendly"(?) side we see in modern Mario games. Again, just like with Knuckles.
I really hope that some group of mario land 2 fans will create a remake of this game. A bit like new super mario land. It would be awesome, because let's face it. Nintendo is never gonna make a remake of this game

I have a sneaking suspicion that this is what Nintendo envisioned when making the SML2 final boss theme. Sounds spot on.
