Grant and they put a picture of someone else in the story. When I first saw the picture I knew it was Paul. I then googled for pictures of Paul and that EXCACT picture was there. The channel needs to do better research.

I think Scotty was full of crap when he says Tracy and Hepburn didn’t have a deep and profound love for each other. That may have had gay dalliances and maybe they didn’t have a sexual relationship with each other but there was a deep love between them,(Philia). Watch Guess Who’s Coming To Dinner. In Tracy’s speech he says that yes he’s old and burned out but if his daughter and her fiancé had a fraction of the love the he and his wife had it would be everything. Life transcends Art in that moment. The words were REAL! They speak of the deep love between he and Hepburn. So F- Scotty!

The fascinating and wonderfully exhaustive biography of Hepburn by William Mann firmly establishes that Hepburn was gay, and provides information on her relationships (even her husband was not heterosexual). It is clear Hepburn had affection and great concern for Tracy, but it was neither a romance nor a sexual relationship. It is quite possible that Hepburn saw Tracy’s agony over his homosexuality as akin to that of her treasured brother, who likely committed suicide [the other possibility is an autoerotic asphyxiation] (and horrible as it is, Hepburn found his body), and devoted herself for many years to taking care of Tracy during his devastating alcoholic binges.

There was one gay relationship that also brought up another touchy subject in old Hollywood: race. That was Tallulah Bankhead and Hattie McDaniel. You mention Spencer Tracy and Anthony Perkins but omit Katherine Hepburn and Tab Hunter.

This is the first that I heard about Spencer Tracy being gay. I am surprised that it was not mentioned that Spenser was married.
He didn't have a relationship of ANY sort with Hepburn. Hepburn was gay. Also, Tracey was supposed to be bisexual. The supposed relationship was 'created' by the studios to cover her sexuality.

Cary Grant once said the most fulfilling and complete relationship he ever experienced was with Randolph Scott, who I believe was the love of his life. It is said Grant was on the Sharon Tate estate visiting a male prostitute the night of the murders, and could have become embroiled in the scandal had it gotten out.

There are those of us who remember all these people, their contributions to history and our lifetime of memories. They should at least be given the courtesy of truth as best you can instead of salacious gossip for views. Unless that is more important. There are enough true scandals from that time without having to repeat unproven gossip.

It is true. Tracy was extremely agonized about his sexual orientation, and it appears his rampant alcoholism was tied to this. The story of the purported Tracy-Hepburn romance was created by Garson Kanin fairly late in the day, and Hepburn so furious at Kanin that she didn’t speak to him for years thereafter. Hepburn did come around to accept the untrue story.
