    What a slick time saving tool, for planting transplanting! And not have to get on your knees to plant, or even bend over!

    A salient point you made that especially jumps out at me is when you said that this machine gives you one more day off a week. There’s no price one can put on that; absolutely priceless.

    You are Great! I can so relate to you, seems as if you are a humble soul and I can relate to your background as I am in the computer industry as well. All through our garden ventures seem to be a world apart, yours a lush eastern environment mine a high plains desert in Colorado, 300 days a year of sun, we all have challenges! Thank you for your inspiration, I hope that someday I might be able to meet you in person!

    I'm 58 years old and seen some great things here on YT, but you're nothing less than a genius. I stumbled upon this by way of another site. The only regret I have is not been 20 years younger. Although, I'm not that old, but at my age now I just look ahead and think of will I be still above ground to enjoy the fruits of my labour. Well done to you and may God keep giving you the strength to go on doing this wonderful thing.

      Murphys Law he does make it fun and interesting. I agree with his philosophy of efficiency, beauty, tidiness, and variety. Growing only greens just seems boring.

    Thanks for giving this big man hope .

    Have you ever thought of automating this system? Have multiple of these on a guided wore, and recesses into a housing? I like the idea. Very cool!

    • @lazygardens
      @lazygardens 4 года назад

      There is a similar system for large fields that uses a re-plantable fabric pot. It's widely used for chili peppers here. The hand-towed one is the right size for a "market garden" that plants a little of everything insteasd of 120 acres of one variety of pepper.

    That tools is very impressive. The start up kit for it here in Canada is around $3000. It looks so good, but I'm not sure if it is in the cards year one. Great educational vid...again:))

    I'd think with some masking tape and peat pots you could make your own paperpots, and that tool looks easy enough to imitate, could probably 3d print most of the parts. Just needs a knife edge up front to cut the soil and the long part of that steel knife could be plastic. It's definitely a neat tool, WAY overpriced, but neat.

    Amanda Martindale, The paperpots aren't banned, they've been allowed for at least another year. Your certifier was incorrect. They were never banned. The NOP was considering whether to recommend them or not, they did recommend them. All good for one more year.

    • @thomasmyers2288

    How does the NOP ban on paper pots affect your business? We were about to buy a transplanter when we got word from our certifier a few weeks ago that the paper pots are banned. I'm curious, after your current supply of paper pots runs out, will you stop using it until organic paperpots are created, or is it a useful enough tool that you'd drop your certification to continue using it?

      Amanda Martindale leave it to the government to throw a wrench into efficiency. Must have fed a rat a hundred pounds of paper pot. Good luck

      All the paperpots that are sold in the U.S. do not contain fungicides. That includes ones from johnnys, and paperpot.co. It is actually very difficult to get the fungicide treated ones here in the U.S.

    I've seen paper pot paper remains in the soil even two years after planting. That does not look very healthy, imo...What is your experience, how long does the paper remain visible in your soil and how long does it take at your end to have it decompose and vanish completely?
