Why not get a 400$ reel 200$ rod 100$ terminal tackle/lure, the diawa seems like a money grab imo

I agree you could definitely do that. An expride with a bantam or curado would be an excellent pairing compared to spending full retail for this one reel. I never spend full retail on things if I don’t have to. Like I said this was from Japan and was half the price brand new! You’re way better off looking for deals if you want to enjoy this higher-end gear
