This video made me cry. I'm so mad at all the people who dont buy and wear weird ass crazy designer clothes. We loose genius designers all the time. Ive see it happen for years now. This is nothing new, it's sad how much an artists gets diluted and resort to making mediocre shit just to survive financially . Tired of this

Shane Oliver achieved one thing : being worst then Virgil.. His work his messy, poorly constructed. The only relevance to his work is that it reveal a symptom of our era : a dead end... Francy sociologists call it post modernity... What we see here is the result of a generation of people that are trapped by the weight of years of genius design innovations and now they cant achieve to top that. Lady GAGA was one of those signs of fatigue in creation among others that are acclaimed today for their vacuity. There was an article in Highsnobiety when the controversy between Virgil and Walter started few months ago that resume it all . Basically the personne responsible for that article said this : Some people dont get it, virgil's originality rely on the fact that he's not original ! Thats a quote... So as much as I appreciate Foster's videos sometimes, I think he falls into that same old trap : simplistic binary commentary that is compensated by the used of a pretentious over analytic speach. i’m kind of glad to see hba put to rest with shayne restructuring his brand again. it was an absolute cultural phenomenon but i think it’ll be more interesting to see shayne build from the ground up under new names like anonymous club, asso, and shayne oliver, without the ties to hba of the past. also i love his music i just wish he’d release more of it lmao
