Yeah absolutely! Chatuchak Park is really really beautiful - I didn't realize it myself as I was always just taking a shortcut through it like you :D (or ended up there by accident because I thought that's where the market is)
I recommend " Nongbon Water Sports Center " near Suanluang Rama 9 park. You can biking, jogging, sailing and do various activities in a beautiful atmosphere.
