I’ve had my 125 so long (2006) that I completely forgot what the controls do. Now I know that the slider control should be moved all the way to the far right to the 3 🔥 Mark, once the pilot is properly lit. Not leave the slider at the 1 🔥 Mark. And most important, that the bottom round turn dial is used to adjust your water temperature (no more scalding showers). My life is now 99.99% easier. Thank you Immensely.
You are a lifesaver! I had PGE check for the gas line yesterday & see if he could figure out the problem & he couldn't. I found your youtube video & of the exact same model that I have followed your instruction & I have hot water again. I left a voice mgs on the PGE worker & told him I fixed it by watching your youtube video. Thanks for saving me $$$$$ & from buying a new hot water heater.
We have this model water heater in a boat we just bought. We are having a heck of a time getting it to light. We have followed the instructions to a T but still can’t get it to light (the pilot light is on). Would be so grateful for any tips or hints to getting it to light. Thank you so much!
@@DonnaCox-sk1wz The spark module to light is really wonky. Sometimes you need to do it LOTS of times. I do it in a machine gun fashion to get it to light. Most times however, I'll use a long necked lighter to light the pilot.
@@quanman32….wouldn’t that be a propane tankless if installed on a boat? Just wonder if there is a different lighting method for the propane heater. Hope you took care of the problem.
We have a 125-BLP-S model and I had it turned off for the summer since we have solar hot water. I tried to turn it on this morning and it absolutely refused to fire up, even while using a propane torch to cheat the thermocouple. Later in the morning I gently tapped on various parts of the valve assembly with a metal tool and tried again and, praise Yah! it fired up!! But now the problem is that the flame is yellow tipped like it is not getting enough air due to dust?? or it is getting too much fuel?? Not sure what to do at this point. It works but I am a little concerned about the yellow tips on some of the flames. It is mostly nice and blue but a few flames are yellow tipped.
You might want to run it for a few days and see if it shuts off. Maybe you could blow some compressed air from a can into that area and see about clearing any dust that collected over the summer.
Do you have a video on how to rebuild the water valve on this unit, using the Bosch water valve rebuild kit? The maintenance schedule says this valve should be rebuilt every 3-5 years.
I have a problem with one of the same tankless, turn on the pilot’s light but when the shower opens no hot water comes out, hot water comes in when draining it comes out
I have a 125-BLP model just like this one. The pilot light shut off suddenly, but I haven’t been able to get it back on. Did you have to unscrew anything else besides the two screws on the left and right side? Or clean anything else besides the thermocouple and igniter? The manual says the pilot orifice might be clogged, but I’m having trouble finding where it is. I haven’t cleaned my water heater in a while.
Hi I have a aq125b-ng and right now my issue is the pilot light went out. I restarted it and the issue is once the pilot was lit the entire bottom igniter as if water was flowing. But the water wasnt flowing. After 30 seconds there was I turned on the water and there was a poof and water came out with some steam and it shut off. Do you happen to know what the issue is? Maybe a faulty gas valve? I'd appreciate any help. I love this unit because its tankless and it has a gas pilot which is extremely rare Thanks

Finally someone showed me how to remove the faceplate. thanks.
Thank you that was perfect. We came home and no hot water. I was sure we were going to have to buy a new unit. We are so happy that we don't have to.
Perfect video. I saw exactly how to clean mine. Thank you. Repair guy wanted to sell me a new unit for $10k🤦🏽♀️
Great video esp for a "not a plumber" woman. Thank you
Ran out of propane, this was my first relight. thank you all my decals and labels are sun baked.
This isn't a nasty propane model, it's natural gas.
Thanks for the video. Here the top pipe of the burner is loose. I can get it out and put ik back in again. Is that supposed to be like this?

Correction - igniter sparks but the pilot light won’t light.

Anyway you can show the chimney?

Unfortunately not
Do u have to turn the main gas valve on?

Try locating and testing your pressure switch. When you turn on your hot water faucet the pressure goes down and that switch turns on I believe.
Thank You so much. I appreciate your help in saving $$$.

how can I make the flames go higher because the water
Have you turned the adjustment of the heat in the center bottom of the unit to its maximum position to see if that does anything better for you
What materials and cleaners did you use to remove the oxidation?
i just used a soft wire brush to shine up the metal
The pilot on mine went way too high. What is that?
Did u figure it out mine is way too high too
Is there any way to turn up the heat temperature on one of these water heaters?
The knob at the middle bottom of the unit controls the temperature. Turn it clockwise to increase the temperature.
@@dalechalkey3729 Thank you!!
Correction - igniter sparks - pilot light won’t light.
You aren't in California, are you? That water heater is supposed to be mounted on ply - I mounted mine on a scrap piece of cement board. :)
I'm in the Midwest
