I have 2 of these and 2 550 rockpal units. Never had any issue changing while also running fridge or what not. Whatever issues you had were most likely that you didn’t have a big enough unit for the draw you demanded.
Incorrect, the power draw from the refrigerator never went above 110 watts. The answer I received directly from Rockpals themselves is that these small units have unregulated output on the DC side, which is why things like refrigerators will trip off occasionally. As i mentioned it works fine when plugged into the AC port, but then you cant charge the unit at the same time.
I enjoyed your video tremendously. You reminded of myself when I first bought the Inergy Apex with their solar panels. What a huge disappointment it turned out to be, it can only power my 12V fridge on dc for about 9 hours and 12 on AC. Have gotten wiser since then. Great work !
