Going against an Alien is so cool. Hearing the turrets beeping faster, telling you its coming but with no idea from which direction, and you just have to hide and be quiet feels so movie-esque
I was a stalking Myers and it was funny to watch everyone panic as the music started, my ability allowing me to see them, only taking them out once I was tier 3 and it was way too easy because they were grouped up. It probably felt movie accurate for them the pure confusion and Terror. Because I got them all so fast I was able to win with a single hook on all of them which made me feel kind of bad but not enough to not hook them

The Twins are really good in this game mode. Victor gives a lot of extra information, and blood is more vibrant for him making tracking easier. Constant stealth for charlotte makes it easier for her to follow up on victor. Lack of med kits, healing, and recovery perks makes their slugging playstyle more viable.
This could very well become a permanent gamemode , its the most fun I've had in a while in DBD. Not to mention that it makes swf balanced , since there are no obnoxious perk combinations and communication can be avoided by jumping from one survivor to the other.
It's fun playing killer 100%, but survivor... getting free hit everytime you walk, run or doing a gen and not seeing loops get boring really quick ngl I played pig yesterday all night and i don't think i chased a single person for more than 20 seconds, i only did hit and run and it worked like a charm

Instead, the Survivor has the advantage of a better overview of the third-person view and the Killer has the advantage that the Survivor no longer has any pseudomagic abilities. The rest - the entities are still the same as ever. If you know the structures of DbD and the cards, it's normal chasing and as Survivor and Killer, mindgames are now the defining element again, as 2nd Chances perks no longer apply. Neither for one side nor for the other. I think that's marvellous. ^^

I like to think of this game mode as the Marco Polo of Dbd. Since killers have to rely on sounds like footsteps or grunts of pain rather than sight and scratch marks.

I honestly don't think it'll become permanent, there's too many complains about the gamemode and too many things that make it unbalanced. It's a good stepping stone for future gamemodes though!
Honestly I feel that when the game mode leaves the devs should consider giving the darkness mod to pig as base kit. Keep the terror radius, but the darkness seems to help her effectiveness so much.

FYI twins HAD (past tense thank God) a bug where victor had a hit box on his back when pouncing where anything directly behind him could cause pounce to fail, also at 14:10 ish you can see he didnt pounce over the pallet that wasnt his fault victor just could not go over pallets anymore. TWINS MAINS UNITE!!!

You never played it but i actually had a lot of fun playing legion in this game mode. Them not hearing the terror radius prevented pre running which is one of legion’s greatest weakness if he needs to go across a map.
I love this game mode. I'm actually having fun. So much better without perks. I've played as killer and survivor, and both have been good (easier to get challenges done as killer tho 😅)

im honestly enjoying it so much. im a survivor main and i dont even care that its slightly killer leaning bc im having so much fun. its not mandatory and its just easy free bloodpoints, if you dont like it, simply just dont play it. it also gives someone like me who never plays k a shot at having fun playing that side. i tried playing pyramids head, someone i could NEVER play on normal mode and actually did decently
Im pretty sure survivors get to see them too. Also , there are 4 survivors against 1 killer , the killer cannot see scratch marks so tracking is more difficult , and since the visibility is lowered it opens possibilities for improvised hidding spots. I feel like survivor mains are crying way to hard cause their 4 stack meta build comp wont get them an easy win

I just find that this is a much better DBD experience thb , altho I mainly play killer so perhaps I'm a bit biased. But for most of the complains on the survivor side of things , a vast majority of them could be solved by implementing in-game coms. Perhaps when BHVR does this this mode can be permanent
Imagine being that Alan Wale vs Trapper at the end... you wiggle free and make your break for it!! And then immediately your hopes are crushed as you hit a trap and get hooked for the loss.
if you didn't know, legion is op in this mode. The terror radius still exists its just silent so legion's tracking works just fine. And since survivors won't heal against legion you can just sneak up on them and down them, no chase required which is what legion is normally terrible at
One of the funnyest to play and play against is the deathslinger: the survivors on a gen usualy see their friends being draged in the darknest, pretty spooky.
I already got terrible eyes 20/100 vision with astigmatism and a lazy eye but yeah lol straining my eyes on lights out was a 4-5 games max experience before i had to switch back. It gives me a headache after a bit.

Need to use dredges power more. A good way to have used it was with the very end of the last nightfall. If you had used and instantly teleported back, you maybe have triggered their heart beat. Could have been a chance they would have been a little further out though.
Not really. It's awful tracking anyone after a hit. The red stain defeats the purpose I think also as soon as you see it coming you still can run off before they even see you and then they can't track you either. Any survivors with map knowledge and skill make quick work in this mode

Finally finished the challenges for the new event. I'm not a big fan of the event, don't see myself playing more of the lights out trials. Hopefully behavior can tweak the mode to feel more fun. I kinda feel lonely running around in the dark lol
I love the Twins but Victor is super buggy right now. His hit box is all out of wack. He can’t jump over pallets anymore and if his back is to close to a wall then he can’t pounce because it hits whatever is behind him.

So far skull merchant is insane😳 in this game mode. First time ever playing her ever and I held all the gens and knew where they were 90% of the time. And they weren't bad at all the survivors.
Honestly, I feel like this should be a game mode that stays permanently to add variety to the game. Another game mode aside from regular matches. It's fun, challenging, and just interesting overall. Would love to see this mode expanded across other maps.

I feel like Oni would be fun to scare people with but it would be hard to charge through the map without seeing what's in front of you.

I absolutely love this new mode! Playing Lights Out with Trapper is honestly one of the best experiences I've had with the game.
I think the game would be better with no red stain but keeping terror radius, that way stealth killers still have their thing they can do.
If they can do proximity chat between kller and survivors for like 1-2 seconds just to hear them scream, that would be so damn funny

I tried plague which was pretty strong bc of survs being injured and making noise when sick. One player DCd 😢😂
I still havent had the theatre map. Its my fav map as well 😢
