4 out 10 is fine but saying na they should make a normal comeback doesnt make any sense. This is the strength of this group na they are versatile. They can eat easily hiphop/rnb and if their looks are edgy it's because that's their concept. 4 out of 10 is unfair lol considering that you know what this group all about.
This is literally their best performing comeback beating shooting star, also seem to forget their description for what music they make is hip-hop/R&B it's one or the other or both at the same time
Already got my tickets for Georgia and The different in my opinion of them and every other group is the versatility. I'm a 50 year old musician and they are awesome
XG is a girl group known for their versatility and their goal which is to break stereotypes that including idol stereotypes. They also want to try different sounds that is refreshing. If you want crazy vocals, their vocalists cover many different songs from different genre including old school R&B in their XG Vox series. If you want to hear more raps, their rappers went all out on their XG Tape including Harvey showing that she can do it like in Woke Up easily if she want to. The crazy thing is that Harvey have harder flow and bars in some of their XG Tape than her flow and bars in Woke Up. Not to mention their XG Move where each of them do dance choreography in group as well as individuals with each members showing different dance styles. By saying “each members”, I also include non-main dancers of XG. Not to mention the fact that they often pay homage to the OG artists that they were inspired such as Lauryn Hill, Jay-Z, J-Cole, etc. They even mention some of OG rappers in their XG Tape. As for their alien wolves concept, the alien parts of their concept started when they used it for Shooting Stars. As for their wolves part of their concept, they always refer themselves to a wolf pack possibly long before their debut. In their XTRA XTRA Documentary, one of XG member, Hinata even painted a portrait of a wolf head as a birthday gift for Jakops Simon, the guy that you see at the beginning of the Woke Up music video. He is also the person that formed and personally trained XG. This is the reason why the fandom is called ALPHAZ. No disrespect, it would be best if you all watch a guide or their free Xtra Xtra Documentary which is free on RUclips.
Saying you love XG but then to go on making comments that shows you actually know nothing about XG. XG's videos with the biggest numbers are Shooting Star and Gals Xypher and did you really think they weren't going to make an all rap song. ALPHAZ have been wanting an official rap song from XG since the Xypher and the closest we got was X-Gene that left us still wanting. If you want a normal group that performs in normal clothes and makes songs that fit the idol stereotype you have plenty of them out there but to complain about a group that part of there concept is breaking stereotypes shows you don't understand this group. Which is fine so just say you like XG songs that fits what you want and leave the other XG songs that stretch the boundary of k-pop, j-pop or x-pop to those of us who understand what they are doing. We may not love every song but we know that every song isn't going to sound alike or be like anything else out there. Oh by the way those are wolf fangs not vampire. If you knew about XG you know their lore that they are a pack of alien wolves and the alien theme has been a running concept since Shooting Star with an aspect of the alien theme being part of the overall concept of a video or at least hinted at in the video
@@bn6244 well two of the podcasters were positive giving the song a 10 and 9 it was just one who gave it a 4 and talked about them going back to wearing normal outfits
the grillz is purposeful to present themselves as an alien wolfpacks/otherwordly beings, thats why it has fangs and designed like a wolf extraterrestrial teeth features
music need to evolve for new generations. its just some people stuck in some era of music. music or art is weird for who don't appreciate it. and for some its magnificent. remind me of 2nd gen of kpop some people called me weird listening to kpop. for me i just wanted fresh music. maybe im still weird because i listen to jrock, jmetal, jpop, kpop, latin, reggae, hiphop, kpop, and pop. well he's correct if the music isn't for you. its okay.
XG had stated they would be Breaking All Idol Stereotypes. They served a full RAP Song…making a statement to all their Haterz and there have been many from K-pop Toxic Stan’s. They are all Japanese and sing in English so their are those HATERZ too…I’ve responded to many. I seen where the Manila, Philippines 🇵🇭 show was sold out in 18 minutes. #XG gave the #Alphaz what they requested. Simon, “Jakops” served it it up for the requests made. Their versatility in their Live Shows are Stunning. The “Shooting Stars 🌟 “ Rock Version, the “Left Right Remix” is Stunning. I became an #Alphaz after watching their first Move 1# before their debut. Everything they’ve released has impressed me. I listen to maybe two K-pop Groups but the Xenophobia is real whether it’s admitted or acknowledged.
Several fans are not into hard core rap but that’s ok, but you better expect more because they woke up, this has been their best performing song - this is a comeback - 4? WTF, better check some hip-hop channel reaction, bro, you not about hip-hop
I was just gonna move on, but I feel like I just wanna comment something, lmao I kinda understand what he meant with giving it a 4, considering it's not to everyone's liking, the release I mean. However, as a "fan" of the group, it is a bit tone deaf phrasing it that way. Since they, XG, has long since pivoted into a concept that pushes the boundaries, it is inevitable that the response would be polarizing to say the least, but as a fan of the group, I do think that if you're truly supportive of the group, a remark saying that you want to them go back to a time where they went with a traditional pop/ retro style seems to be the exact opposite of what the group stands for, as of now. And I do think that's why it's not rubbing the wrong way. Coz I do agree that if they fully embrace the girl crush genre, or cutesy pop, or retro pop, or any of the mainstream styles, they would still dominate, and would prolly be fully comfortable with it, but it does go against they're current creed and philosophy. Now would it change in the future? I'm sure it will as how they pivoted to the current concept. But currently, this is what we have and I just hope that we, as fans, are fully on board with whatever they're doing as long as it's above board and the girls themselves are happy about it. great podcast, thought provoking, giving it a 5.5/10 :D
I was really giving him the benefit of the doubt until he said he is a hip-hop fan :D and then he continues to say "Vampire teeth". LOL. You can't and don't have to like every song of a singer/group etc. I love XG but I don't like their "every" song. Especially since they play lots of different genres. I am originally a rap fan. I have listened to rap music ONLY until I was 18. I am 31 now, I listen to many different genres of music and I love XG. I will go to their concert in London from another country. This is not a 10/10 song for me either mostly because of the hook and the beat. HOWEVER, This song is at least a solid 6-7. It performs almost as well as Shooting Star without marketing or fake views. Most people "like" any music, whatever you throw them especially if they are a fan of that specific group and especially in Asia it is like this. Because average people are the majority and the average person likes average recycled copy-paste songs. That is why K-pop is so big and those specific groups have an insane amount of fans/views etc. Because they appeal to the average person. XG does not appeal to the average person and that is fine. I knew and I'm sure they knew as well that some of their songs wouldn't be as popular as Shooting Star, Left Right, Mascara, Tippy Toes etc. cuz they don't appeal to the majority. They are not your usual K-pop-style songs either. Tippy Toes and Mascara are close to that right ? But it seems they don't wanna go down that route. And I hope they don't change their route just to appeal to K-pop fans or the average person. Because rap is what got me into XG. I expect more rap songs. It just happened to be they also had amazing vocalists and they all danced great which in turn made me a fan. In the end, they will do whatever their label/Simon wants them to do. Enjoy what you enjoy, nothing to do about the rest. There are many groups out there which are those "K-pop" groups, there is only 1 song from them that I like or 3 songs or 5 songs and that's it. I only listen to those specific songs and I don't care about the rest.
New Jeans or Illit sounding? Neither of those groups have music that sound anything like XG or vice versa. Someone put the label of 'Y2K' sound on XG and then on New Jeans even though there is nothing that is alike in their songs. Funniest thing is now watching the drama that is going on at HYBE about Illit copying New Jeans style and sound. Fifty Fifty has crashed and burned. Meanwhile XG captured nostalgia in Left Right (the sound, the looks) from the 90s and 'Y2K' with Missy Elliot, TLC and even earlier with the 2001: A Space Odyssey homage. They still go way back to the era with New Dance with the lo res camera shots, camera shots from below like a Bobby Brown video (Every Step You Take). Then their VOX cover of FLO's Losin' you. Jesus if that song isn't pure R&B girl group nostalgia, then I don't know what is. XG continues to put out very different songs. And yet, they have the XG trademark. Unmistakable, one of a kind and you give Woke Up a 4? Congrats, you've given your unpopular opinion. Like someone who doesn't really listen to classical music and saying 'meh, I'll give it a 4' after listening to Beethoven's Fifth. I'm not comparing XG to Beethoven, I'm just making a point about the the weird grading. If I thought a song was a 4, I am sure that it would not be in my playlist.
That's a bit much, 1 essentially gave a 10/10, another 7/10, and the other changed to 6/10 from the initial 4/10. Most importantly, there was NO DISRESPECT given at all. Was it their preference no. Did they contradict themselves, a lil bit lol. But in the end, it's nothing like what we've seen from you know who and others who just objectify.

Im glad I read the comments before watching. Saved me 33 minutes of being annoyed.
To be fair it was only one guy the other 2 gave it a 10/10 wanted 11 and a 9/10 and they sort of gave him a hard time for his take
ok good to know it wasn’t just me 😂 needed to see what fellow alphaz were saying, if it’s not worth it, i’ll just pass 😂

Yeah I was wondering why they were yapping like that without actually knowing XG 😂
💯
i'm so glad i read comments before watching video. SKIP
Saying that he is a fan of XG without knowing the concept is straight clout chasing
@@bn6244 well two of the podcasters were positive giving the song a 10 and 9 it was just one who gave it a 4 and talked about them going back to wearing normal outfits
I mean if you didn’t grow up on real hip hop r&b and can’t recognize it, then just say that 🤷🏽♀️XG get my support either way
The grills make more sense because of their Space Wolf concept, you know. What wolf doesn't have a fangs? But 4? 😂
the grillz is purposeful to present themselves as an alien wolfpacks/otherwordly beings, thats why it has fangs and designed like a wolf extraterrestrial teeth features
And your video -10 out 10
So glad i came to the comments before checking the video out coz.... Imma bounce 🐺😂😂 thank you fellow ALPHAZ for letting me know beforehand 🎉
The comments saved me from watching this whole vid

Bad joke clout chaser, don't say anything about XG again
