2.54 you said that autonomic nerves are never sensory . It is wrong . There are nerves wich carry sensory impulses from the visceral organs
so.. what is the answer for "ganglia in the CNS" ?
@@paragswarnkar9907 The visceral sensory division carries signals mainly from the viscera of the thoracic and abdominal cavities. The motor (efferent) division carries motor signals by way of efferent nerve fibers from the CNS to effectors (mainly glands and muscles). efferent never sensory.
Burst out laughing when you said that I'll lose all my friends if I said "you're getting on my axons in my PNS..." Bold of you to assume I have friends in the first place 🙃
😂😂 that was unexpected
1 year of my academic life couldn't make me understand how you did it only in 14 minutes.
Thank you.
You’re very welcome 😊
Medicine is awesome when you understand it!
Me too bro
I wanted to cry by 2:45. You're a godsend! You just cleared up chapters of incomprehension! How do you teach someone the ANS without first being explicitly clear about what is a ganglion? I was considering changing my major from health sciences to social work. A million thank yous to you!
Wow 🤩, Laurin!
You made my day!
Thank you so much 😊

The ganglion in the cns is the basal ganglion. Thanks for the lecturer it was really explanatory
Excellent!
But why do we call it basal 'ganglia'
And why not basal nucleus(as it lies in CNS)
I have read basal 'ganglia' is a misnomer
Is it TRUE??
❤
Ge ge ge ge ge ge genius !
@@user-gk5xx2qu6iyeah,
If you check Teach me anatomy, it said it should have been basal nuclei.
I wish, i could be able to Like alot of many times but on my screen only one like Button what i can found...You are Amazing ✨ and awesome✨..waiting for many more videos🙌 & lots of love from India 🇮🇳
Thank you so much 😊
Thank you soooo much! I was struggling to understand what is EXACTLY ganglia & it was too hard to get it🥺 but THIS made my day❤ love from IRAN 🇮🇷

Hey man this was incredible! Its a shame videos like this don't get more views; I suppose not everyone needs to learn this, but you've really helped the 10,000 of us that need to know our stuff
As soon as you said: 'You're getting on my axons in the peripheral nervous system' I had to subscribe.
Haha 😂
Welcome to the family!
@@MedicosisPerfectionalis Thank you! Your reply is much appreciated. There are a lot of great teachers on RUclips but as I watch their videos all these related questions pop up in my mind and I go off on a tangent. Your channel is the first one I found that seems to anticipate those questions and answer them right away! I hope that made sense ..lol.
really genius, medicosis!!
every time I watch your neuro videos I say how the HILLOCK can some few minutes involve this amount of brainstorming information
( forgive my bad joke, just a beginner's try)
Your joke is good! You're slowly turning into a Medicosis!
I loved every moment of this video. Everything was organized and I found myself actually excited for once about learning
Wow 🤩
Thank you 😊
physiology is really getting into my axons in my peripheral nervous system
Best comment ever!
Mind blowing, thanks doc
Most welcome!
Thank you so much, not only did I have a good laugh, but 1 hour before exam I understand what a flipping Ganglion is! You are awesome!!
Thank you so much! I appreciate you!
Good luck with your exam!
Please let me know how it went!
Basal ganglia(nuclei) are found in C.N.S. sir....am I ryt...btw your lectures really help us... you're genius too🔥🔥👌🏻
Excellent! I appreciate you so much!

Thank you for watching!
Goshhhh I wish I watched this sooner or in summer:(
Thank you so much , even tho we studied autonomic nerve system in pharmacology but as u said if u don’t understand the physiology you won’t be able to understand how the drugs work

This video comfortably satisfies every doubt about ganglia.
Thanks a lot.

It's amazing and sad how none of my professors have been able to convey thiis concept easily.
Is it possible to teach 11th grade biology I am thrilled 😁
I have an entire Biology playlist here on my RUclips channel.
Im currently taking A&P 1 and really struggling with the final chapter (somatic vs autonomic NS) and this helped TREMENDOUSLY. I feel I learned more with this than the actual reading and lecture. Big thank you!!!
funniest and most educational video ever. ty!
Thank you so much 😊
In 13:04 does anyone know the answer
WE DON'T HAVE TIME. Love the humor
Thank you 😊
brillinat. well my lecturerers were as funny and educational.
Im trying to figure out what conducts pain sensation from the viscera.....are they somatic or autonomic afferents ( afferent -to the spinal cord) .?? If they are only autonomic afferents from viscera which conduct visceral pain sensation back to the spinal cord, do they have pre and post ganglionic autonomic neurons ??? If so where do the post ganglionic autonomic pain afferents have their cell bodies - the sympathetic ganglia or the dorsal root ganglia.
Aslo what about the parasympathetic autonomic pain afferents? which pathway do they take?
What are going to do with me in case I answer your question? Do you know I've kept the answer for more than 30 years. Many professional neurologist will trouble to answer. Ok, the answer is Nucleus tractus mesencephali. It's one of the nuclei of the V th Cranial Brain Nerv Trigeminus. Why ganglion but nuclei at the same time? Technically, as a structure it's a nuclei cos it's placed in the brain stem, but functionally it's a ganglion, cos it is presented with postganglionic fibres(axons).
Quick question why does the afferent one has ganglion but not the efferent (somatic)? We also need our senses to be quick
Autonomic nervous system till here is crystal clear and on finger tips.. Thanku Medicosis. U R doing wonders.
I am in danger regarding enzymology. So when we expect to here from u about this playlist.
Thank you so much 😊
Have you watched my biochemistry playlist? I have talked a lot about enzymes in my Vitamins Videos.
Yes. A few days ago. But i am talking about enzymes kinetics. The competitive inhibition, and stuff like that.
Oh, I see

Hi, it's me again! I forgot sth. The other example is glandula suprarenalis, cos it receives only preganglionic fibres. Wish you health!
This video is wonderful thank you

Sir, you said that there is an exception for a ganglion that lies in the CNS ,what is it?
Basal ganglia!
Assalamu Alikum....
Hii.....I'm frm Kashmir
@@MedicosisPerfectionalis Basal Ganglia is a misnomer to Basal or Subcortical Nuclei....I think...
Very disappointing. What is a ganglion. If it is a bundle of nerves then does it function as a bran or not.I suspect it does.Do you know or do you not know what a ganglion does or do not.And how stupid are you to call a ganglion stupid if your very life depends on it.
basal ganglia are located in the brain stem, thalamus, and cerebral cortex areas of the brain. Being in the brain, they are part of the central nervous system, not the peripheral nervous system, as other ganglia are.
PERFICTION 💕💕
You are not telling me what is a ganglion. Please tell me what is a ganglion .Stop the crap and tell me what is a ganglion
Stop listening to what you have to say if you cannot define or explain what is a ganglion.
you did a great job explaining and using analogies! deff helped me, thanks
My pleasure 😇
Much needed this kind of explanation on ANS 🙌🙌..
Sir,
You are amazing. Thank you very much. I was struggling with doubt which you have not only cleared in few minutes but also with your amazing teaching style ,Adjusted this info in my brain. 😃

Superb easy video.. med school fails me to understand the fact in 5 years.. you did it in 14 mins… tnq from 🇧🇩
Thank you 🙏
Ganglion in Cns is Basal Ganglia right!
And thank you for this amazing lecture
Bless you! Bless you! Right to the point and very clear! Thanks!
hey you stated that relay staions in the cns are called nucleus then how can there possibly be a ganglion in the cns[the qs you asked] i remember studying thalamus being a relay centre
Basal ganglia is the answer!
Such a good explanation with this much fun.... you made my day
Thank you 😊
your methods of teaching are greart thank u
Thank you 🙏
Answer: Basal ganglia is present in CNS
Correct!
im up at 5 and this video is funny i love it!!
Thank you 😊
I wish more people will be learning medicine at 5 am 😄
basal ganglia
Excellent!
Is ganglion group of neuron?
Because even the name of the dorsal nerve has dorsal root ganglion.
And why do we called some structures like caudate nucleus, putamen as basal ganglia or nucleus... Can you please help me out, I have medical exam.
Ganglion is Group of cell bodies either in C.N.S. or P.N.S....not the Complete neuron...
Excellent explanation ❤️ and really enjoyed that humor 😄
My pleasure 😇
OMg!!!
It's so much fun, interesting and filled with a lot of hidden knowledge
Ive been so confused in class since my last semester, but within 14 minutes, my God you're good
I really appreciate
It's truly a stupid Ganglia 😅
Thank you, it's my first time here🥰
Thank you so much 😊
I don’t have words to say. Thank you so much for this clean explanation .

the answer to that question is basal ganglia which is found in the CNS
Can anyone turn this into german? Or put german subs? I'm gonna cry
